    Z4m vt2-500 coming soon!!

So ive had my vt1 for a year now, very reliable, not one single issue with 15+ trackdays under its belt!!
The vortech unit is just fabulous....
So im really wanting to get the intercooled vt2, so ill now be running 7psi and 100 octane!! Ill be sure to throw up my dyno plots!!

Honestly the z4m with boost is a weapon !!!

The single biggest issue with vt1 is heat soak, with no ic the car really suffers in the warmer weather!!

An intercooler will definitely make a big difference. When are you planning on upgrading?

    Where are you located?

You will be fine on stock internals at 7 psi.

sticky im located in the UK near london, weather is pretty cold most of the time but we do get some freaky hot weather, all in all the weather is pretty suited to FI here.

Sticky when i get the urge for more power At what point do i need to start thinking of internal work with my s54.....?? we get proper 98octane (albeit for an insane price) @ the pumps here so my car only see's 98octane.

im really hoping that with 98octane, 7psi, coolish weather im going to see some good rwhp gains.

No problem running 7psi. Especially with the good fuel we have in Europe.

I own the test car that ESS use for developing the VT2 550 and running 9-10 psi. still stock internals, no problems.

Enjoy your badass M Click here to enlarge

AA runs up to 12 psi I think so you will be good for a while. If you intend to go over 10 psi that would be the time to start thinking about it.

I'm anxious to see videos/etc. My buddy wants to get the ESS VT2-500 for his Z4M. There just aren't a whole lot of videos/information on the kit though. So keep us updated!

Yep, not much if any info out there so you aren't the only one wanting to see more details.

SC + direct port is going to be quite nice, whoa. I think you will be the only one with that setup on a Z4 M.

hi sticky, the welds are slightly untidy BUT they are heavy duty, i will slightly tidy them and refinish the cooler by hand, it will then be perfect, im just being anal as i LOVE everything to be 100% spot on where my pride and joy is concerned...

The black pipework is so light i initially assumed it was heavy duty plastic, very nice quality on those items, i have the new crank pully and also a new s/c pully, i didnt expect to have a new crank pulley, i just thought theyd downsize the s/c pulley.......

The setrab oil cooler is MASSIVE, lovely piece of engineering with the AN fittings.

Really looking forward to seeing what the car can do, imo the s54 NEEDS boost and this kit is imo one of the best for the s54, i will run the car for another year and then im going to build the motor and go for gold!!

Definitely a great option especially for the Z4 M. Are you planning any dynos and such to show before and after? I know you said you would throw up your plots afterwards, but what about a baseline?

More power ! Click here to enlarge What is the weight of the intercooer and oil cooler? I am concerned because i am building a time attack car... Turbo setup seems better for track the supercharger is more located in front and alot higher then ground compared yo hpf exhaust manifold used turbo setup.

Also i really dont like the inake manifold of ESS. I found a topic where they said the stock intake manifold was better and they would loose hp if they made a new intake manifold.. i dont know why they changed that policy?

Also let us see some kills with that weapon...

VT3? I was not aware such option existed for the Z4M. I realize its just the S54, but here in the US you can't even buy the VT2. You have to ship your car to ESS in Arizona for the install. What are the details on the VT3? 650hp(ish)?

ill definatly be shooting up proper before and after figures, with videos of the actual dyno session.

Hmmm dont think this is quite accurate, ess used the stock intake on the very early vt1 kits called the vt440, this kit produced ALOT of torque, unfortunatly even @ 4.5psi the intake would balloon drastically as it was never designed for boost, ess designed their own mani but stated it WILL loose torque from the stock intake setup, ess decided all kits would be sold with the cast manifold, imo this was a wise decision :-)

vt3 is available but with a build motor, this must be done @ an ess santioned shop, my tuner is so no probs for me, ideally id like to work with ess and create a vt2.5 kit, aiming for 550 crank @ around 8.5psi.
