The GT2-RS should not lose that drag race. The driver was terrible at launching it. He has most of the weight at the back, he should rip it out of the hole.

The GT2 RS is plain brutal. The GT2 RS should have won all those drag races. Put that car in a track and it will destroy the LFA even further..........

I don't get why if they are going to a drag race they don't give the cars some proper drag rubber, do a burnout, and get people who actually know how to launch.

How about posting slips as well? What are the short times? The 1/8 mile times? Frustrates me to no end that they have the budget to make all this happen and they don't do it properly.

    LoL, drivers race.

Moral of this story with a good launch the LFA gets detroyed. The 911 Turbo S PDK would destroy it even more.

Honestly these magazines need to get over the LFA, its performance is nothing to write home about. Although It does sound amazing.

They should have just used a PDK S so it could be dual clutch launch control vs. dual clutch launch control.

if you're going to spend that much on a car... it should be more than the lexus has to offer; it sounds great but it simply sucks as a car compared to cars that cost less. I mean, yeah exclusive, but I would have serious buyers remorse if i bought one and found a GTR to smoke me... for a third the price!

Anyway, the GT2 Rs is boss. Just amazing car.

I think you'd have to be very hardcore Lexus to buy the LF-A over some of the better looking and faster options.

i have to admit i love the LFA but the only way i would buy it is if my money was like monopoly money to me!! LIke it would have to really really have no value for it to work, I mean its being compared to a gtr and you hear that tired argument that the gtr is cheaper for less money but that would go far the gtr against allot of other exotics/super cars. I would consider its direct compettitors the italia,lp560, and the mp412

So true. That's why I say that the real performance or enthusiast news/info is on the forums. And it's not mutally exclusive to produce segments like this for a broad audience and still provide the rest of the story (e.g., slips) for the more serious viewer.

I love the GT2 RS. I think it's great that so many auto reviews claim it's scary fast in acceleration. But, ever since I read EVO magazine's write-up for best car of 2010, which featured the LFA, I've been amazed at what the LFA is all about. I guess, it's really comfortable to drive in and it is supposedly very refined but it's just as crazy once you floor it as the GT2 RS (or at least, almost just as crazy). Love the exhaust sound of that V10 also.
