Cracking of the N55 Ecu via OBDII

Is there any progress on cracking the ECU?

Yes, OBDII flash! Since the dealer can do it, there is no reason that it would not be possible even with the new dual eeprom ecu? I'am I right?

Not happening anytime soon. Dealer protocols? Good luck with that.

I've heard that ESS and Cobb are working on their flash for the N55, so at some point they will have to get pass the encryption on the Ecu?

    That's right, my bad.

I don't think there are any OBD-II flash options?

    Not anytime soon.

BMW Encripts the OBDII port. Eventually someone is going to figure it out. Just takes someone with will power. I know its possible...its only a matter of time.

BDM is a tuner tool. What he is saying is most can tune the N55 on the bench by removing the ecu and lining up pins to the tool so it can be read and written. OBD is quite a ways away....

Did not realize you were so familiar with the N55 platform.
