today i tried upping the WGDC spool table by 10% but didn't like the result, car became very jerky after stepping on it, just didn't feel right.
the car also showed some misfires in 2nd gear...

IIRC, before i got rid of my misfires, they were not obvious in the log; the only hint was a kink in the rpm graph. i´d have to look at my older logs, but i am pretty sure requested load will not...

that is the classic misfire when the load limit is set too high. you are right that raising the load limit will help you get rid of TCs , but then you will run into the misfires again. so you will...

that is a very clean log indeed, especially the relation between req. and act. load is very constant and smooth.
i have the post shifting timing drop too, not sure if it is something to worry about.

i had misfires like crazy, all of a sudden, when the weather got warmer this spring. started changing EVERYTHING described in various threads (plugs, coils, HPFP, whatnot...), to no avail.

i think you are right about the car using timing to achieve target load.
i´d like to be able to establish the throttle plate not closing as much as in the log. i have since decreased WGDC a...

there is more than one table that can taper out power in the upper range (i don't have my laptop with me, so i can't exactly recall which ones). to up the power, i reworked the "load tables", but i...

a wheel hop seems plausible as the rpm jump up almost 100rpm at this point.
if you are sure your hardware is ok, misfires come from a map that is too aggressive (the car requesting too much...

i think the timing corrections from TCs come when the DME slams the throttle plate shut. a smoother and more "modulating" behaviour of the TP might not cause that severe timing corrections.

in my experience, immediately after a flash or when you have reset adaptations, the car runs just great, lots of power, smooth power band. after a while, TCs reappear and drivability suffers.

do you log immediately or shortly after flashing a new map or do you make a few pulls before? i often thought i had things sorted only to find out that if i log another run later or the next day...

many thanks. I´ll be careful, I just want to give something a try. I will post more if I succeed (but I am sceptical...).

Josh, in any table in ATR, is it possible to change the value of the column or line header and will it do anything (for example, the last column in the ignition table is valued at an...

i have no more TCs whatsoever, partly by reducing WGDC but also by raising the load/torque limit tables
but now i have misfires i can't get rid of (only when tuned).

i´m from vienna. where are you located?
i´m having similar issues and trying to get it sorted with ATR. N55 or N54?
maybe we should meet.

thanks for the reply
went out yesterday and again had massive TCs (sometimes not just a spike but over a range of 1000rpm). and i will definitely contact PTF, but like you, i like to mess...

ok, i set up a datazap account and uploaded a few logs.
in my First Attempt, i was kind of arrogant and at some point lost track, so i decided to start over. the logs are representative for my...

going through Cobb´s OTS maps database, i chose a stage 2+ sport map because it matched my mods list best.
all logs show TPS act., load req. and load act.
i had some TCs right away, one...

thanks for the reply.
of course i will have a look at the hardware, my question was theoretical to some extent. but since i couldn't find any WG issues except for the occasional rattling, i...

i am new to the forum, new to the car (2010 135i N55) and haven't posted much here (nothing, admittedly).
first, thanks to everyone contributing to this thread, what a load of information!! ...
