No new news yet. If they can't make the manifold work with the factory mount mount I am going a different route. I really don't want to pay to have a motor mount bracket fabbed up and then have to...

For Sale: BMS port injection $1200
BMS port injection with controller. Very low mileage. I bought it from a local member that totalled his car. It comes with all the fuel rail, controller, hardware, injectors, and cable to connect to...

Seems like they are a while out if they do not care to comment with an eta. Hopefully sooner than later.

Good deal but are the cast JB not going to be in the 3-3.5k range with no core?

I am pretty positive just a manifold. If the fitment issues get resolved I am having a local fab guy make the do, intake, charge pipe, and coolant pipe.

Thanks Chris, I'll most likely end up using his water outlet and fittings.
Lol I think anything dealing with turbos on this car is a PITA. Once the fitment is fixed to clear the motor mount...

Thanks! There looks to be. I'll have to measure to be 100% sure.

I got the manifold fitted today. Overall everything went pretty well. The only issue I came across was the exhaust housing hits the motor mount. Either the flange needs to be moved up a hair or what...

I hope they do something for you but I wouldn't hold my breath. I had a friend that had a defective disc and had the trans in and out a couple times. They finally sent him a new disc and a free...

I was looking under 2009 3-series. They definitely screwed that up.
05-08-2016, 11:09 PM
When looking they say thru 1/09 and from 02/09. Hopefully they will still take care of you.

That should show the correct part numbers you will need.

Does your crank have 6 bolts? They changed 01/09

Looks great! Glad to see more options. At the time I contacted SPA there were not a lot of bottom mount options. Steed at the time only planned on IWG. Cast manifolds are not as pretty as a tubular...

Yeah, I looked at precisions but too many stories of a $1600 turbo taking a dump with low miles. Also I got a smoking deal on the GTX. Brand new in the box for cheaper than a PTE journal bearing. I...

Hopefully there will be room for a divided t4. Motiv runs a v-band .82 as an option on their 750 kit so hopefully it will be sufficient. I am looking for around 600-650 and fast spool.
05-01-2016, 01:35 PM
Right now it is a t3. Possible t4 in the future depending on room. I'll keep the thread updated. Once fitted I assume making the changes and casting/machining another may take some time.
05-01-2016, 12:30 PM
It will be divided. Checking fitment first then the changes will be made. I have a gtx3582r on the way with the compact to4e comp housing and .82 t3 exhaust housing.

The port will be divided to the flange. It will not be 100% divided due to the area around the wastegate port. I think what Andy was saying is a full divider may not be needed but not nothing. In...

No, from my understanding this was cast based from a one off tubular manifold.
I hope it turns out well. There are not a lot of bottom mount options.
04-28-2016, 11:09 PM
Yeah most likely. Hopefully they are able to move the wastegate port and make it a divided t4 pending the fitment goes well.
04-28-2016, 09:59 PM
Things may get tricky with the wastegate port when dividing the manifold. They want to make sure it fits before spending time to modify the manifold. That would be ideal. I just wasn't sure if the...

I am test fitting a cast single turbo manifold for SPA. It is not a twin scroll manifold but may be divided in the future. I am not an expert on manifolds so any input in welcome. I am not sure if...

Have you tested it yet? It would be a big step forward in the platform if it actually works correctly.
