had this happen to me in july . I replaced the belt and pulled every little piece of the belt I could find out of every nook and cranny . I never pulled the pan at that time everything seemed fine ....
gaskets are not necessary , I hardly would say 40,000 without cleaning valves is neglect there are people who go much longer trust me I have done 7 of them . as v8bait said there is no substitute...
get the harbor freight blaster then remove the tip that comes with the gun and buy a piece of copper tube that fits in the end of it tightly . you have to have the bmw tool for intake think its like...
forgot had a friend with a vette little bastards filled his rockers up with dog food and could not get out and died in there car stunk to high hell and took us months to figure it out .

i got the impression he has not sent anyone money but is just trying to warn people that there is a scam going on and not to fall for it .by that last post ?
+1 lots and lots of down shifting makes a big difference how it breaks in I'm at 400 miles right now and dying to get on it but have managed to baby it .
of course its BS thought you guys would have more fun with it than this though :)P

buraq if you get a chance can you see if your mechanic did have to do any calibrating of any kind ? I thought these things where balanced from the factory.really makes me wonder if there is any...
with as vague as the drawing is it looks right . don't matter which line goes to which solenoid

this was just a factory replacement shaft ? bolt on and good to go ?

just did the damn clutch 2 weeks ago would have been so easy to do the oil pan gasket and check while I was in there .

now everyone who has had their belt shred is freaking out :scared-eek: had it happen to me in july and it took me and hour to peel all the shreds out of every or phis of the pulley system .
