This is craziness. Just awesome.

That is a good question ;)

OK I stopped having 10 reasons.

Exactly. The reason being "Well Lamborghini brought a set of them so.... why not?" I have about 10 reasons why not!! Anyways, yes lets hope the magazine dies, at least in its current form.

Speaking of their stupidity, have you seen the Huracan test? For the lap time they run it on P Zero Trofeo Rs and then act like it's comparable to the other times they've already set... After...

The funniest is when people quote AWD manual transmission 0-60 times from magazines. No one in the history of ever has actually replicated a launch like that on their personal car because they...

I commented on that article saying this exact thing and you can only imagine the response from both the average retard and die hard V fan. "BMWs are for douches" "No they don't, prove it" "BMW...

If I recall the GTS variant of the Cayenne was the best selling version in the US (not in absolute volume but for the years it was offered) and even I could be tempted into a Macan GTS if the price...

I'm curious, wouldn't it make a lot of sense to upgrade the exhaust manifolds while you're in there upgrading the turbos? I feel like once you've gone through all the trouble of getting to the turbos...

You really reckon it'd be that fast? I'm not very good with ETs and trap speeds but the Hennescrewed 650 package GC (with the 5 speed auto) ran 12.60 @ 110 mph if I recall. That car was making ~530...

If they eliminated the NA variant then I could totally see it. However I don't think they've shown any signs of dropping it.
Agreed, they do need to throw more horsepower at the problem because...

I don't see them having two ultra high performance SUVs on sale simultaneously. With the muscle cars it makes sens, but a new GC SRT8 is already ~60,000 USD, the Hellcat conversion adds on about...

Well I think the problem is the ambiguity of the statement, did Nissan give them a car with octane booster already added or did they give Motortrend a can or two and instructions? Either way, I don't...

I'm hoping for a 300 and Grand Cherokee Hellcat but I'm doubtful of them happening , *maybe* the 300 but certainly not the GC :(

Is it fact that Nissan engineers added the octane booster themselves? I can't seem to find who added it but Carlos said in response to "what octane booster?[...]", "The stuff the Nissan engineers...

But.... Tune and cat delete and E85 gains =/= 93 octane gains....???
03-21-2015, 04:32 PM
I'm going to reserve judgement until I see the gains that 2 octane really makes on an otherwise stock car. Doubtful that someone will actually take the time to dyno test that though :P Around here...

I simply think in the grand scheme of things it's pretty irrelevant. The Z06 is already faster in every metric where it's not traction limited. Chevrolet could have chosen to sell the Z06 with a 93...

I've seen this argument before and it seems totally irrelevant to me. The Nismo says on it that it requires 93 octane. The Z06 requires 91 octane. They ran the octane each car needed.... I'm doubtful...

I'm doubtful they will, however amazing it would be. The Hellcat engine is currently retailing about 18,000 USD from what I've seen.

I've been saying this should exist for forever, but sadly I've only ever seen it offered for the W12 a-le-Mansory...... http://www.mansory.com/high-performance

I feel like they could do it quite easily if you brought it into the shop so they could make some modifications, but just off the shelf, no.

This is actually surprisingly common with press cars, they have the piss beaten out of them and they're constantly needing realignments and eventually someone messes up somewhere along the line.
