now higher comp, stroke, crazy head, cams... please?

you've gotten so so close to being able to wind it up, and hit an invisible wall :P

no e85 results yet?
slightly further to the above 2 - once it's at the top, more rotation = zero movement
if it's moving AT ALL it's not at the top, as it'll stay closed for the compression+power stroke. and if it's...
how come no one else seems to have reported fuelling issues on built head N54's?
is it purely because you have much larger turbos?
Be so much easier if tony could just (physically) ignore things, not reply, and just post cool stuff
I like the cool stuff, just not everything else around it.

on simpler cars (ie, basically anything not DI), there's semi-often a plug and play standalone that works exactly like OEM, just more customizable... THAT would be the dream for the N54 hah

I think he meant how the SMG LC RPM was purely set by the trans controller, not the DME at all, so DCT flashing would be needed to fully control it?
Yeah that's generally the numbers I use too

where are people getting it for that price? I got the $217 from the official price listing thread.
Nah not selling, no need right now.
92AKI is more like 94 RON, so 91 AKI is what.. 92-93RON?
ACN91 is supposedly really bad 91, so it could even be closer to our terrible 91RON?

look at the price of all options for MHD. it's $217
$99 doesn't get you all the features you need to properly tune.
yeah i paid more than $217, for something that will also actually flash the...

Definitely agree with point 3+4. reliable fast enough tuning/flashing software that allows the user as much control over the DME as possible, reliably.
I mean, laptop support has to be the core....
04-09-2015, 09:59 AM
$217 is infinitely more than $0, yes. And no i don't think $217 is cheap at all when, well, there ALREADY is a free option, just not as fleshed out as it could be. many other platforms have...

I've also got an INPA cable, for use with the INPA/ISTA/rheingold etc. stuff for coding
I'd say it'd likely be a more common cable than a BT?
04-09-2015, 03:30 AM
$217 for all modules... so no, not cheap at all.
04-08-2015, 12:30 PM
ahhh so you backed down on the open source idea that initially drove a lot of this? I guess that's fair enough in a sense.
very disappointing, but fair enough...
Wonder why you don't release it...
04-08-2015, 10:32 AM
Don't worry, i'm agreeing with you. Actually completely, for once :P
Cobb came in first and was amazing for tuning for years, nothing could compare, of course it's reasonable to have them charge...

I don't get how doing it for BBflash is even remotely the same as doing it for MHD either, when MHD all up is what, a few hundred bucks... vs free?
I mean, come on, MHD is $217 (all up) and closed...

wait really, there's an S65 dyno posted online somewhere 900+ (or 860+, whatever)?
that i want to see.
depends how much power you're pushing and where in the rev range
iirc, peak gain is more like 30-50?, but gain at redline is more like 90-100
04-01-2015, 05:38 AM
for me it's also a value for money thing
buying, shipping it over, tuning out the CEL, ends up being what $2-2.5k? yeesh. then talking about supercharging, headers, and it's more like $10k AUD and...
04-01-2015, 12:22 AM
I've never questioned their worth, there's cats there, and there's been dynos for a few years of 10-20hp gains too.
03-31-2015, 08:17 AM
3 stage intake manifold swap+tune has been a relatively common power mod for a few years now. Headers are a lot less common 'til recently oddly enough.

there's a few local guys building 130i's for racing in various formats, from casual (time attack days) to fairly serious (IPRA stuff). Probably because it's pretty easy to get them into say 28xx lb...
