Ah ok great.. I thought the RPM's dropped a little much too. :)
Would it be a fair statement to say the closer you get the expected load/boost in the base flash to what you ultimately want the...
Terry am I reading that log wrong or did it take 1.5 or so seconds after that 1/2 second shift to get back to 18psi?

525whp on 93 octane (we get 93 and 94 here in TX) would be insane. I run probably 380-400rwhp on track now, so that would be a ridiculous power boost. :) I'd probably need a 14psi setting as...

Hey Mike, thanks for the info. I'm not concerned about the reliability of the hardware at all, the FFTEC hardware looks top notch. I'm concerned about the tune and the N54 DME's ability to handle...

Terry I'd totally consider an FFTEC single turbo along with a JB4 if I thought it could be dead-nuts reliable on-track (road course) at 17-18psi. The people who get single turbos then disappear or...

Is that Captain Insano's car?
10-30-2013, 12:09 PM
From a pure power perspective thats fine for dragstrip and dyno queens, but running $10/gal race gas isn't a solution for street cars or road course cars that want to run mid-size turbos on straight...

Safe to say we'd all rather replace the HPFP with a higher flowing unit too. But until that happens.....

Mike what kind of temps do you see on an OS Giken Superlock in DE type conditions? Car has about 400rwhp the way I run it at DE's (E85 map) and do 25-30 minute sessions. Any concern on diff temps...

Very cool, I am interested to see the results of this setup.

Agree, but given that the hardware for turbo kits is very well understood and fundamentally this kit is very simple, there's no reason it shouldn't work, unless the engine just absolutely rebels at...

I can't believe how FBIS and Captain Insano have just dropped off the forums since they got their turbos. Captain Insano apparently goes to Laguna Seca and other tracks "all the time" but no video...

Cool I am interested in your stage 3 also, but would probably want the smallest turbos. Perhaps the GT2560's. I only really drive my car on road courses and occasionally on weekends, so I would...

What are the specs on your turbos? I'm interested as well in a custom-manifold twin setup with small-ish turbos such as these. Thanks for any info.
The solo DL also can connect directly to CanBus not over OBD2, would this also not operate properly?
Terry, would the JB4 cause an AiM Solo DL not to work properly? The Solo DL reads engine data via CanBus or OBD2 to act like an on-track datalogger. Wondering if the JB4 would cause this product...

Does the GTR come with springs/shocks/brakes? Yes
The M3 is doing its lap time primarily because of grip, which is primarily a function of tires.

I guess if you want to make that point by comparing a car with coilovers, BBK, race tires and light power mods against a stock car on street tires, then... ok? :)

Sure, and an otherwise stock S2000 on Hoosier A6's would be faster than both of them. Anybody who has been to a racetrack could tell you this.

Different tires and different weather/days... not comparable
For lap times, tires are the single biggest factor. Power matters much less.
