Gas milage will probably increase with this update.
It's the power that will take the biggest hit, and probably driveability as a good second.

VW will recall 11.000.000 cars within a few weeks for a software update.
Amoungst these 11M cars are 2.1M Audi's, 1.2M Skoda's and 1.8M vans.

VW lost €11B yesterday and €16B today in market value alone.

If MOSFETs fail they short circuit, so a failed MOSFET is easily found if you measure resistance.
For it to physically crack you'd need a massive current peak.
98% of the time they just short out...
Your DME actually held on pretty long.
This was a common problem in 2013...
Better replace all 6 MOSFETs while you have the DME on the bench to prevent having to do this again.
