Happened again when I set JB4 to show boost on fuel. Now the fuel gauge won't go under 1/2 tank... Quite annoying.
Sorry about hijacking too. First reset was done with car running, second time reset was done before starting. I still doubt it's tune related because OP has COBB and still have this kind of issue....
So maybe the 2 pump setup doesn't have to work so high pwm levels to reach the 72psi target, otherwise with stock wiring the 20amp fuse would be way too small.
+After thinking a while the Steves...
My car fuel gauge did the same couple of weeks ago with brand new bone stock LPFP. Ironically, just after I saw the similar thread here :)
On my case everything was fine after installation and...
Thanks for the info & have to say you have nice setup there,
I was planning to make a kind of PWM booster for my 450 to ease up the current draw from the FPM but only if my car starts to blow...
Btw, has anyone confirmed that the stock pump is actually PWM controlled or is the adjustment done only with pressure regulator?
SteveAZ How about using fast optocoupler or 40-50 amp MOSFET instead of relay control for the secondary pump? I mean, both pumps could be PWM controlled all the time.
I dont have test rig to get any flow numbers and I haven't got time to install it... so no logs either (yet). I did test this without any measurements, the venturi has a bit stronger...
Just wanted to share some pics about my DIY Walbro 450 bucket. I wanted clean and reliable installation and to do it myself. I'm not going on any markets with this setup and there's no improvements...
Now if I remember right, I also did leave the torque monitor ceiling values to stock. Good to have this kind of feedback... This thread is all about to find the reason for cranking. So, now it seems...
When comparing EU - US stock bins (MSD80 I8A0S)... difference tool says: 56 bytes different.
So... the cranking issue might be somewhere in these 56 bytes... and the nominees are:
Do you have I8A0S or IJE0S? You could try to leave the Toggles unmodified. Just to make sure, by load tables you mean both Load Target # RPM and Load Target #? Are you using BMS provided xdf?
I've installed the Cobb catted DP's (which are great By the way). As expected, 200 cell catalysators did give the 29F4 and 29F5 codes. I'm having emission test soon, so it will be seen does these...

Ok, I had a time to make a quick visit to my garage; the level sensor seems to be just a potentiometer, not a hall sensor.
Kraftstoffhochdruck bei Freigabe der Einspritzung...

Hmmm, the sensor could be just a potentiometer. Quite stupid setup and even more cheaper than Hall... Well even easier to measure. No voltage needed, just check the resistance on different positions.

I guess not. The sensor is just a dummy unit. Thou I guess the sensor could be tested with measuring the output voltage when manipulating the plunger with hand and compare it to the drivers side...

I took a quick look to the BMW ETK and it seems there's 4 sockets in the Fuel Pump Control Unit. The FPCU is controlled via CAN, I really can't see reason why BMW engineers would be cabling the level...

Shame I don't have time to check things out right now but I'm interested about this because I'm planning to install the 450. If the level sensor is not going to fuel pump control unit, then the...

After all, I'm just guessing... But I really can't figure out how just a basic pump swap could do that kind of problems. + the OP has changed the level sensor already, that about excludes the broken...

Does the level sensor wires go to the fuel pump control unit? Maybe overcurrent has bricked something?
I guess the level sensors are just basic hall-sensors and the true fuel level is created...

So eventually this will be like Toyota FT86 / Subaru BRZ - same car a bit of differencies... where's the beef? What's happening to BMW? PSA engines, Front wheel drive, now this. Hopefully this is...
What version of the xdf file you're using with your IJE0S? I'm not seeing Load Targets in the IJE0S.xdf downloaded from N54Tech.
Sorry... I was reading your post in a hurry.
No, I have not tried that, but I guess there will be conflict with load target values anyway.
Yep, and that was not working... the DMTL codes and Program Missing is in the undefined values.
Maybe you could give COBB a little hint about this? They are pro guys and I'm sure they can address these kind of things with ease... if it's a issue big enough for them. There's a huge markets in...
