Made some minor progress last week and weekend.
-Rebuilt tandem pump,was easy.Only issue was one broken spring on the SLS side and a stuck piston.Got it eventually out and replaced all springs....

It seems possible and plausible.
The only other way would be that they switch soon for the race cars to the DFI engines as well and the 991 current CUP and RSR are just now in between cars...

Let me explain it again:
The 991 GT3 Cup and RSR race cars run the old engine.
It is possible for some series regulations that they have to put the old Mezger engine in a road car.

Good chance the 991 road RS is the homologation model for a new 991 race car,as GT race cars have to based on road cars...

It was absolutely necessary at this point already.
It would have had severe damage(means damaged crank journals or a rod having the urge to see the daylight) within the next 1-2k.

Machining and balancing engine parts to my specs is the only thing that is outsourced.

Car is in winter storage now,but I think in march we do the intake and exhaust stuff.
Also need to remove the valve cover to see how it looks...

Race car like in 997 Gt3 R and RSR for example or their smaller cousins the GT3 Cup cars...
These engines are so $#@!ty they can take over 10k RPM while down shifting and have over 120BHPl...

Rather FI the engine.
I still do not understand why people put V8 in 911s....
Replace one of the best engine built in the last 2 decades with some push rod engine..
