Actually no one (dealers) will "give up" allocations, and there is a bump in last minute demand for the M3, given the turn of the tide coming. ( schools of thought for the M3 engines.... )
I cut it realllllly close. My dealer rallied to get me an allocation. On top of that I got it close to invoice and got every rebate/incentive available. (Financing, USAA, and Loyalty). and a CCA...
It is done. Have an allocation, for the e92. I could not have done it without the proceeds from the sale of the M. Not to mention the 330 is as new and a real grocery getter but not nearly the book...
contacted a friend in BMW NA. Asked him about advice... jump on one of the last build allocations for e92 M3, or wait for the new F80/82. It'll be interesting to see what he says.....
BMW M keeps their secrets. No one knows the finals on the S55 except BMW at this point. But hats off to you S65 guys anyways

F30,F31,F33,F34,F80: I drove a MT e90 and noticed the overall weight...
I drove a MT e90 and noticed the overall weight in the turns. I had to flog the go pedal, but the sound in the upper revs made that fun. I would get terrible mileage if I had one.

If they design it to flow like the S54, why is that so hard to fathom? You are being dogmatic and so biased about s65 it is a bit annoying
My bet is that the S55 will rev to 8000 also, knowing the M fanatical engineers....
i too enjoy the S65's v8 sound

I wonder about the new lighter M3, vs. the current one. Light weight does so much for handling and braking not to mention acceleration. One reason I am keeping the S54/z4M-R, at 3200 lbs.

that's why I posted. S65 pistons are cast, the crank and rods are forged just like the other M engines
