Sounds a bit strange.
The diesel and gas kit are almost identical. The diesel kit was developed a year ago (on my car). Did you talk to Kevin at CX racing?

The guys at CX racing did it all. Piping, connectors and intercooler core. There is an area where there is a sensor inside a pipe where it couldn't be removed. See the pictures and description.

is it coming from the turbo?

I have some oil around the IC intake too. I heard it is normal.

I have no insight in what they can do or how the do it.
But if you have some sort of software update on your car I think it is better to let them know. 30 ponies less is better than no extra ponies...

So far I haven't noticed any difference in the transmission's behavior. Seems just like before.

The torque curve is what I am interested in. I hope is flat for a wide RPM range, no dips hopefully.

At this point we got two sources (that I know of) for IC's.
One of them works great. :eusa-clap:

Renntech changed the power/torque numbers recently. The new ones seem to be more realistic in my opinion.
346 HP / 480 TQ
The initial ones were 356 HP/ 495 TQ if I remember correctly.

it simply looks too big, deep in this case. I'm not sure how the flow of air can go through all that metal.

Looking at the pictures I get the idea that it may be an easy job to install it. It seems to be made out of the OEM piece with an added core in front.
I really don't think the added thickness would...
