A lot of M3 turbo car owners are quite happy with their Okadas. I never got the impression that the coarse, uneven dyno curve at high RPM/high BOOST was a significant on the road or track performance...

Sticky, you made a couple great posts. I could not have said it better. I think the products and QC from Taiwan are on par with high world standards. Mainland China is not the same. Yes, we DO have...

Sorry. I could not fix the thread LINK in time. I can not get back in and edit it so the link is correct.
So, HERE is the correct link for that thread in April 2012. Post #38 is where you find...

On April 19, 2012 Chris from HPF posted this:
"After running the Okadas for 3-4 years, we've switched to the OEM coils on all stages of our turbo kits. Both of the HPF drag and track M3s are...
The QSV uses a STANDARD undivded mani. The valve itself will divide the mani during low boost so the turbo will spool faster. The turbo HOUSING must be twin scroll. So, changing over to a QSV is...

HPF used to use the Okada coils which would "break up" at high RPM making TQ readings nigh impossible to graph. I am fairly certain (not 100% positive) that the current TQ reading comes from using...

Good luck with the sale. Potential buyers take notice! Take the plunge NOW!

Yes. with the correct ECU, corrections could be done on the fly. I would have to have a LOT more knowledge too.
Suffice to say for NOW, the plans are to have the TUNER look at the values in the DYNO...

I think totally doing away with the entire meth system and ALL its little issues is way smart if you have E85 available.
I really hope you decide to do that. It would be SUCH a huge winner. You are...

Arent the tunes for Turbo cars that use meth so agressive that running out of meth during a big pull would ruin the motor? HPF uses meth as FUEL, not just a cooler like AA does with their SC's....

Getting Meth injection just right is a daunting task evidently. I did not realize how critical nozzle position and spray distribution is. One way to test is to measure EGT of each cylinder. Get a...
I am curious to see how it does compared to a QSV on the same size turbo. Any guesses/predictions?
10-28-2012, 04:12 AM
Yes sir. I believe that to be a fair assessment.
I have NO idea about the torque figures. That typically has been a weak spot for USA based companies. Euro companies like ESS do much better with...

Still waiting for Dyno results. Jaws do you have a GOAL or any predictions at least? Is it 700 rwhp? I could see that happening. You are going to stand SCing S54's on its nose. Guys who would never...

I think this kit could be some sort of record breaker. Jaws may get 7 flat when they squirt the meth!
7.7 is fast by its own rights!
This car may put out close to 700rwhp. Its a heck of a build....

Right. SC is more linear. You don't have that big "hit" when the boost comes on like with a turbo. OK, So I get that.
As far as making the SMG go bananas with the feramic clutch. That just is not...

Fair question. The answer is YES! I sleep much BETTER knowing my tuner has this data available to him, especially the EGT info. It was less than 1K investment to get all that set up. It is up and...

LOL. Jaws my good Sir, I got that covered too. Rest assured. I have the best fuel analyzer I could find. A Zeitronix e85 Content Analyzer,,,an ethanol percentage sender, gauge and wiring harness....

The stage 2 Feramic does quite well with the SMG. I had one(untill I upgraded it to a stage 3 Feramic with riveted disc center).
Other than a little chatter, it worked great with my VERY hard...

Sticky, so far, my limited exposure to your forum has been very positive IMO. I am quite curious why it is not more popular...ie, more members and more discussion on great, well written, interesting...

Let us just set aside tuning for safe EGTs and consider what the EGT's might be running if NO sensors are in place and the tuner is simply tuning the motor for Max HP and TQ.
Can a well designed...

Bigger pulley is very good idea!
About the Sachs clutch...are you positive that is going to hold up? I personally would be looking at feramic clutch from HPF/South Bend. Cant wait to see dyno...

Interesting replies. GOOD replies, thank you!
As far as what I prefer, I really cant say yet. I have to see what Doc Race comes up with for an intake tube and AIR FILTER for the top mount. It is...

21682I was fortunate to get one of the very first photos of the new Bottom Mount S54 manifold sent to me by Doc Race. He said "OK" to post. So, here it is.
I want to say that my reply to him...

I got this test ride on a whim. He simply made an open invitation to ANY body in the Greater FTL area, and I took him up on it.
I am not even in the market for something like this. Not enough power...
