I would run the stock gap unless you are running over 23psi. I will be gapping mine at .020" soon.

Still waiting on a few things so nothing major to report at this time. A thread will happen.

Stock gap but I need to gap down now that I'm at 26 psi.

DCT all the way! No slipping with MHD due to higher load being reported.
I am in the process of converting a 6AT to DCT on another very well known car.

Congrats on the new world record! Awesome!
What size drag radials are you using?
12-12-2015, 06:01 PM
About 5300 and held 6th through the finish.

Set another WR time tonight! LSWhat's technique of shifting earlier to help hold boost higher works well.
Turns out shifting when peak torque starts dropping instead of when peak...

pretty damn light!

I tried his formula of shifting at 5200-5300 and cranking boost down low. Similar results, lots of boost, car hauls. It takes more PWM for me to make the same boost he does though.

I understand what you wrote Tony.
When PWM is maxed out, those wheels will help.

I'm not trying to take anything away from your accomplishment. Very fast times and the record for an XI.
I agree they are stock turbos, but they are upgraded.
Its an upgrade listed on Tony's...

Impressive times. Do you have any logs? I'm curious how much more boost you can hold up top over stock compressor wheels.
I don't think the front subframe will work... Motor mounts might not work out.
Ya never know though, let me know if it does!
I did m3 dct output flange to m3 guibo to m3 driveshaft.
none of them matched my 335is dct stuff.
guibo and output flange need to match vehicles.

Lets take a look at 3 runs with very close 60ft times.
1st Night 2nd Night 3rd Night
60' 1.98 1.95 1.98
1/8 7.651 7.51 7.437

I don't mind at all. The suspension isn't bad.
11-15-2015, 01:37 AM
I did a 1.79 60ft at the 1/8th mile. I'm sure ill do another one soon.
I was pretty shocked with the numbers myself!

I am really hoping one of the vendors might contact me about some type of sponsorship.

No launch control, no boost reduction.
I found a method of foot on brake. push down gas let go of brake quickly worked best. Mini brake boost.

Scored a deal, but not a whole car.

Set the world record last night for stock turbos and the 335is. Several years in the making with the build and awesome to finally have it come to fruition.
I was in Baytown last night...
11-14-2015, 06:58 PM
Yeah, what turbos you have totally make or break your 1/4 mile time.:D
I read over the e-diff stuff and I don't think it would help my situation. It looks to be active to control one wheel slipping more then the other. With my LSD that shouldn't happen in the first...
