Crevice volumes drive emissions and smaller bores = less crevices = less emissions to clean up. So it's not going to change anytime soon IMO.
But bore vs stroke doesn't amount to anything re power...

The intake ports aren't necked down, it's just the way they chose to cut and cross section the head to show it off. They are fairly standard ports.
The hottest part of the bore is the top...

The gasoline engine turbo pictures are twin-scroll only with no variable geometry turbine. The diesel is single scroll with VG turbine.

That stock wheel in the machined S63 housing is telling...looks like +8 to +10mm unless my eyes deceive me. Yeesh. That's gonna be some serious power if the tune can handle the boost.

MT reported the 435i cab at 4077lbs and S5 at 4310 = tank. The 435i X drive as got to be about the same as the S5 cab. E400 was harder to track down but I did once claim of 4068lbs.

What exactly is this. I get that somehow you are rigging up two HPFPs (which is awesome BTW) but are you making one HPFP into an engine accessory using the stock serp belt? Any pix of this on a mock...
I'm no VAG expert but picked up a vagcom cable and software for $350.
The word is the ebay cables sometimes work, but often for only older versions of the software if at all.

I never heard of EVOMS but their website showed a bench flash for the 3.0T. GIAC has a handheld map switcher but that just changes maps AFAIK and you need their flash code on the ECU for it to work....

Yeah, the 3.0T (and almost certainly others) has had problems for years with people just not understanding that if you flash it and bring it in for service, it gets hooked up to a diagnostic computer...
