It's not so much subtract, but as rpm/speed increase the numbers trend down slightly, so I'd usually just round down so it gets the gear right as the shift is a massive change in values. But...

Good point only changes before the sensor will effect the gear indicator.

Since it's brought up though, are there any tables for VSS calibration? Usualy it's a pulses per mile (ppm) labled single...

http://www.americantorque.com/graph-rpm-vs-speed/ may be helpful as it will graph the speeds by gear graphically so you can do some quick hand calculations for your table values. Ratios are easy to...

    h/(km*min) is saying an inverse relation of km/h to rev/min, so h/km * rev/min, or 1h/70km * 7000rev/1min = 7000/70 etc etc
  5. Looks like it's rpm/kph at the highest speed...

Looks like it's rpm/kph at the highest speed obtainable in that gear. Aftermarket EMS usually also have a multiplier but looks like we don't. For example, 1st gear max kph is 70, so 7,000/70=100...

I'll see if I can post it again and clarify/fix the descriptions in vanos, and a few of the other things that are better understood now. Probably this weekend or next week, maybe actually update...

I looked far and wide 2-3 years ago for this and found the valve info but could never find the duration or a consensus on the actual adjustment range, much less the ramp on the cam. I can't rep you...

I'm inclined to say IPT may be related to injector pulse time or duty cycle, because injector duty cycle is proportional to gas flow in the exhaust. Exhaust flow is related to many things, not just...

Finished Step 1, hardest 8 hour test of my life, did pretty well though. Made me miss my engineering undergrad days something fierce.

Post-cat O2 is for nothing other than cat efficiency monitoring. Resolution is negligible as engine operations are not dependent (debatable to a point I guess) on this sensor.

Awesome work with all this! Yeah, it's never just one table for idle. There's just so many conditions that go into a good idle, this has been the case since EFI came out, even OBD-1 had dozens of...

Without looking at the spreadsheet, I'm 90% sure this is exactly what I said, and I am 98% sure that the calculations for LSA and overlap are correct (LSA at least, no true overlap calculations...

Sure but why would they? Their niche is for diagnostics not tuning, home mechanics and such. The channels they have are incredibly useful and superior to any tuning product when it comes to...

That was a good deal for the inlets hopefully they get claimed! Nice work on the new pricing too.

Been away for a while, but some of the changes I do oft might not like since it calculates things differently than bbflash and is more particular (probably why there's less problem threads with it...

Studying for boards sucks haven't logged in for a while. Anyway, bins are just binary and "xdf" files just maps of said binary. TunerPro is just a glorified xml editor that's been around for ages,...

I'm sure you know what a checksum is, but some ecu's have more than one checksum, others being strung throughout the bin. In WinOLS for example for some other cars, you need to have additional...
