When you click "write ECU" you choose the file and then there's a tab at the top or an advanced options button or something (don't remember exactly) with an option to force write. Might need to unplug the battery for a few minutes first, and you might have to do a normal write afterwards if the force fails/doesn't work. Force write is a good way of forcing the computer out of a state where it doesn't want to listen to you so you can try again at worst case. Used to come in handy on my K-Line often.
I assume this works when my bimmerboost flash says it can't connect to the control module? Annoying as the first flash I did awhile back worked perfectly. "
I actually gave up the NT555 for PSS tires, and the PSS are about done for on the rears. I like the PSS, havent really put them to use on the track yet, the times I visited the strip with them the track was $#@! prepped, so I never really got to really test them out, However for rolls, and wet roads they gripped damn well. Most important though the "ride comfort" is the best expereince I have ever had with a tire
Ya, when PSS are available they are the only tire I run. Amazing street tire IMO. "
Yes, agreed. The V3 AP does do what a WB gauge would do and is a lot easier to install I think if I were single turbo N54 with a JB4, I'd like a WB just for piece of mind. So I didn't have to wait to look at my laptop to view my AFR. If I was a Cobb ST guy, the V3 would def be a good option. V2 wouldn't cut it for me though.
Every time I floor the car I can read boost and either timing or AFR in dash real time depending on which setting is enabled on the fly. No need to get anything out or set anything up. Fuel and oil temp just swap to boost and AFR every time you floor it then swap back after you're done racing around. Priceless data. "
.... May have missed it but is the 420hp claim at the engine then, the dyno shows 379whp... which is great for stock 93 octane on a baseline of 270whp but not as crazy sounding as 420whp would be with that same baseline.
Its 420 at the crank rated in HP, and 379 rated in whp. Here is an add for them with my car
