It involves letters back and forth while they usually hold the funds, being in business for 35 years and in great standing with all our financial institutions, all we have to do is show proof on our invoices, and or disclaimer that all deposits are non-refundable, that almost always ends inquiries in our favor. As far as the 20%, yes you are correct, when I allowed people to cancel on non-refundable deposits I asked for a cancellation fee due to the fact of these being build to order parts, and I am now stuck with extra parts not knowing if I would be able to sell them. As I stated in a previous post, this is a very very common practice in the custom parts for high performance vehicles world, most shops want full payment, not a deposit. I am not being defensive here. Just fed up with all this back and forth. Not sure how much more plain it can be. If you ordered a kit and you are tired of waiting I don't blame you, I am tired of waiting, I want to put one on the shop car. If you think you cant wait any longer, just contact me and we will get your money back. Nothing really else to say. This doesn't change our non-refundable deposit policy, but sometimes rules need to be bent when things are not right. This is taking a long time, I am not oblivious to it.
