Yeah, I don't believe there is any solution for 6AT, nor will there be in the near future. Swap to DCT and dodson hard parts is really a wet dream at this point. Imagine if they could hold 1k!!!!! WOW... "

ncat10 created the thread 335IS Stock flash form ISTA.
" Hello all. Can anybody provide proper ZUB# from ISTA for 335IS ( ILAOS ) ?
Now i have IJEOS with DCT trans, but have issue with post shifting advance under hight boost conditions. I want to migrate from IJEOS to ILAOS and use bb flash for ILAOS. If anybody have 335IS with ILAOS, can anybody GRAB assemble number via INPA ?
I found this one ZUB=7649338 and try to migrate on ILAOS under WINKFP, but boost is not working ( so i Think this is flash for n53 engine ) "

Unklejoe replied to the thread Flash faux pas? Modern BMW turbo flash tuning capability is greatly overstated and not what you think it is.
" Sorry for the huge post but is anyone familiar with the security on these ECUs? Or Bosch ECUs in general?

Just trying to learn the technical details for my own curiosity. This info is so hard to come by.

What I gather so far is:

Originally (on older ECUs), the ECU would check the RSA signature of the uploaded flash image AFTER any OBD flashing attempt but ONLY IF certain conditions were met. I have NO IDEA what those conditions are/were, but apparently if you could un-satisfy them, the RSA check would be skipped after flashing. If the signature IS checked, and it is invalid, a flag is set and the car will not start.

Then, Bosch/Infineon supposedly fixed this by forcing the ECU to check the hash every time there was an OBD flash. Simple enough. To get around this, people were forcing the CPU in to “boot mode” by asserting a special pin which allowed them to perform reads/writes via some special CAN pins on the CPU. This bypassed the OBD flashing code and therefore the RSA check. It also required the ECU to be opened. "

Sticky created the thread Server load over the past four months and server upgrade.
" It's time to add horsepower guys. I'm not sure why we're going up as quickly as we're going up as I'm not ready for it. I wish traffic and load would go down a bit but, well, this is the trend:

So, I'm exploring server upgrade options at the moment. Please bear with me. Also I hope this is easy on the checkbook as this is getting expensive to run. "

Yes, I know who is doing the tuning, just allowing them to do the announcing so they don't regret telling me. I was referring to dodson, so yes, thank you for that reply. "

SpeedLimit? created the thread Porsche 911 GT3 RS revealed in new patent photos.
" Attachment 39378
Attachment 39379
The first patent photos of the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS have surface online.
Discovered by Car Magazine, the pictures reveal the model will follow in the footsteps of the 911 GT3but adopt a muscular hood and wider, ventilated front fenders. Moving further back, there's double bubble roof, lightweight wheels and rear fenders from the 911 Turbo. The model also has a new engine cover and a sporty rear wing.
Inside, there's sports seats and a roll cage that resides where the rear seats would normally be located.
Porsche has been relatively coy about the model but it could use a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that develops more than 475 PS (349 kW). It will likely be paired exclusively to a PDK transmission which has been specifically tuned for use in the model.

1st 911 should be 991 right? Just a typo?

You said the 911 model should be faster so I asked how fast is it's record was on that track.

This device also says it can read and write files but does that mean it gets around the need to have properly signed BINs? Probably not but figured I'd throw it in there.

There are some other tools like this as well but same question re the BINs: http://www.autodiagnosticobd.com/new...rvice-752.html
It says that it can modify the data area which I'm guessing is where the calibration data is stored. Also says it can calculate the checksum.

It seems like an excellent solution! Someone should take the plunge and buy this. They can offer a bench flashing service for these computers. "
