" [QUOTE]I discovered the M4 during a testdrive organised by BMW ///M a few weeks ago with the whole ///M range. I drove a ZCP cabrio M6, a DCT M4 with CB and a ZCP F10 M5 on mountain roads.
So... First I would say that this is very subjective and that I certainly do not represent a majoriy
I look for a precise kind of sensations and I want to "fight" with the car.
First, I would miss my naturally aspirated V8 if I bought an M4. The sound of the new S55 engine is really a shame for BMW ///M, when the sound of the NA V8 and V10 are/were gorgeous. And these turbo engines absolutely do not react as the S65 does.
Then I felt the M4 just too easy to drive and did not feel what happened on the front axel. The tractions is just TOO good too. Sure you're fast as hell, but do you enjoy the ride ? I do not. "
" [QUOTE=Gabe1103;581965]short story, original owner of the car had lots of debt and left the car as a payment... the seller had absolutely no idea about the car or setup... neither do i... LOL so i bought it for cheap now i want to see if i can learn more about M30b35's and E30's.. and have a fun track or drift car... it was originally an e30 325is btw..
some issues with the car..
1. one side of the exhaust blows white greyish smoke only upon deceleration after a hard pull (two exhaust setup, 1 for each turbo) what could this mean?
2. im not sure how it is tuned..
3. im sure there is more but i've only driven the car once and now its back on stands since i had the wheels refinished...
im thinking of doing a single turbo instead of 2... the reason for this is almost all m30b35 setups i see on the net are all single turbo... and i get my info from the internet.
My only hope is that there is the option for the end-user to customize tables to specific needs (ala COBB or BB) such as E85 tuning and not being stuck with some locked-out tuner file that's a one-size fits all. Why limit such a platform with more potential on the table?
I think you'll have that as well as some new players coming into the scene. Maybe AMS? Or companies like that. The ///M badge will attract more companies than the 335/n54 did. Just wait and see... "
Interesting race.. Owner of the M6 stated in another forum that it was 97 degrees out and he had a heavy passenger.. Non the less not bad for a V10 on stock air boxes and headers.. M6 is so beast in stock form.. I am not sure if this M is a smg or 6MT but if its smg doesnt sound like he is in the s6 setting..
