" At what frame rate and res is this? did you do anything in post for stabilization?
It is less shaky than the footage i saw before, but the mount was placed on the front tags not the rear. I feel the rear seems more stable. however, every car is different.

the best spot to avoid vibration would be to mount it on the most stable part of the car frame. But in reference to the tag mount / angle, perhaps some cushioning layer or padding such as 3m double tape between the mount and the body panel will help absorb some noise. "

Sticky replied to the thread Electric Turbo Confirmed for S-Q7 TDI.
" Audi showed off up a triple turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 diesel motor in May of this year on the RS5 TDI concept. The concept is moving to reality as Audi confirmed that the engine will see production in the upcoming SQ7 TDI. What type of output the SQ7 TDI will have nobody knows at this point. In the RS5 TDI concept Audi tuned the motor to 385 horsepower and an eye opening 553 lb-ft of torque. AudiBoost has its fingers crossed the production variant of the motor approaches this output.

People refer to this electric compressor as a 'turbo' and that includes Audi themselves. However, an electrically driven compressor wheel is essentially an electric supercharger. The advantage is that you do not have to wait for spool from exhaust gases but that the wheel with electricity can be spun to maximum right off idle. The idea is to eliminate lag from the turbochargers which is vital in low revving diesel applications.

The electric compressor helps throttle response and off the line performance. One the conventional turbos are spooled, the electric 'turbo' is disengaged and bypassed. The question remains on how Audi intends to power the 9 horsepower electric motor spinning the wheel and where that energy will be stored. The engineers will sort all of that out.

The diagrams below help explain how the idea works.

Sure but you can dial back the turbos for the street. The power delivery and throttle response is better with the turbos, period. I'll trade the linear torque for that. I'm going to but I'll need to do another motor build. "

A clutch rated to 550 will do you no good as well For what's on the market right now the spec 3+ seems like the best option for a ST or even maxed out twins.

OP your clutches need to be able to hold the max stock frames can for a stage 1 upgrade so it has to be able to handle at least 550lbs all day every day. This would be an upgrade for people not ever planning on a ST but want to be able to handle whatever the stock frames can throw at them.

The next would be something that can handle moderate ST so something around the spec 3+ or 650-700 tq.

Finally one to handle a 1000whp build. So higher than the spec stg 5. "

" [QUOTE=135pats;585017]Took a few days off and got some away time on Nantucket this past weekend - popped by Gillette on the way back purely as a fan and wanted to pass along my thoughts. Obviously, this is a Patriots-centric post and solely reflects my personal opinion.

- Both Jamie Collins and Dont'a Hightower look like different players this go around. Hightower has a quiet confidence about him and is clearly best suited at the SAM (strong side). He's an end of line thumper who was miscast on the weakside last year. Expect to see him playing toward the LOS more, that's where he can be a very nice all around player. Collins just looks like a beast, to be frank. Rare athlete who was rocking people back with heavy hands all day from what I saw. He'll play at least 80% of the snaps this year if healthy. I can't see a scenario in which you'd choose to take him off the field.

- I worry about the teams depth at linebacker and D line. They have well above average top end talent in Mayo, Collins, Easley, Wilfork, and C. Jones (Hightower could join that group) but the depth is not inspiring. Their inside backers in particular could stand some quality depth infusion, though I think at this point they'll go with what they have. Worrisome.

-In the one practice I saw, I didn't see enough pass rush on the field. Getting Easley integrated will be a godsend but this is still not a unit that can just tee off on quarterbacks. Chandler Jones looked like a force but everyone else I saw relied on effort rather than ability to win 1 on 1. The ability of Collins and Hightower to deliver off the edges on fire and zone exchanges will be critical. Both Kelly and Wilfork have the ability to rush but it's not a safe bet to count on them.

-Gronk looked like Gronk. Dominant in every pass catching drill I saw. I think they'll ease him back in but for fantasy football purposes he showed no lingering effects. In a red zone fade drill he scored 3 consecutive touchdowns. "

Sticky created the thread Range Rover Sport SVR laps the Nurburgring in 8 minutes and 14 seconds - Quickest SUV ring time.
" Land Rover let it slip that their upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR lapped the Nurburgring in 8 minutes and 14 seconds. You may remember that last month the hotter Range Rover was spotted testing on the 'Ring and Land Rover certainly appeared serious about performance. Well, they are very serious as the 8 minute and 14 second laptime makes the Rover Rover Sport SVR the quickest production SUV to ever lap the Nurburgring.

The 8 minute and 14 second time beats the rumored Macan Turbo 8 minute and 15 second laptime. It also puts it ahead of the BMW 1M, first generation Honda NSX, and a second off the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

Absolutely incredible performance from the SUV. Well done Land Rover!
