ChuckD05 created the thread 2006 e90 Lighting Errors, coding gurus help me code them out.
" I have a 2006 e90 that we are selling. I got new housings for my wife to upgrade the bulbs and ran HIDs in them and never was able to get rid of the error. A local coding guy was able to get rid of the bulb errors but always had a light system error, please pull car over, and the car on the lift display on the speedo gauge.

I pulled the HIDs and reflashed the stock RO on the car to loose all the coding, etc at BMW and now with halogens back in my depo housings I get a bulb error for each side and well as the same lighting system error.

Does anyone know anyone that can code in NY or remotely code ALL lighting errors out of my 2006 325xi.

The car is sold, and i didnt even think of this, thought the bulbs would fix it no problem.... A co worker has a loan out for his 18 year old son to buy it and its blinging away with lighting errors.

I may get stock housings bc I am thinking the fault is due to something within the new housings but if i can code the errors out that would be perfect. Any and all help is appreciated! "

" Honeywell is Garrett, Garrett is Honeywell. Same Same. Honeywell is the Garrett parent company, sometimes for whatever reason the turbos have Honeywell on them, but they are always Garrett turbos. We will know soon enough, we did get a call from BMW yesterday to inform us that Germany cannot make them fast enough for production so replacement turbos will not be available until the end of August even after they told me it would be 2-3 weeks from 2 weeks ago... Sticky created the thread F1 2014 - Ricciardo triumphs in Budapest for Red Bull Racing - Hungarian Grand Prix results.
" Mercedes is still way out in front of everyone but the Hungarian Grand Prix ended up with Red Bull Racing taking the victory and it was not Sebastian Vettel as we have become accustomed to. Daniel Ricciardo took the checkered flag with excellent driving. He was followed by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes who provided a great race and excellent finish. Nico Rosberg finished behind teammate Hamilton for fourth place.

Alonso got his second podium of 2014 and very nearly a victory. Ferrari and Red Bull Racing both appear to be improving but with eight races remaining it is highly unlikely anyone can overcome the large lead Mercedes is enjoying. Additionally, Nico Rosberg remains atop the driver standings although Hamilton is within 11 points and that battle will range until the end of the season.

Team by team race breakdown along with the results and standings below.

Sticky created the thread Active Autowerke Level III supercharged DCT M3 vs. full bolt on Cobb tuned GTR roll on race.
" The Active Autowerke Level III supercharged M3's continues to impress. This particular M3 runs a full bolt on Cobb tuned Nissan GTR on the highway. The GTR has the Cobb tune, downpipes, a full exhaust system, intake work, and is on 93 octane pump gas. The M3 features the Active Autowerke Gen 2 Level III S65 v8 supercharger system along with a full exhaust setup. It is not stated whether it is on pump gas or race gas for this run.

A full bolt on GTR with a tune is a very potent weapon. However, a roll on race between the two cars on the highway assuming similar power should favor the M3. Why? Because it is rear wheel drive, revs higher, and lighter. A run from a stop favors the GTR with its all wheel drive traction and torque advantage. As both cars have a dual clutch transmission that particular area is even.

The M3 pulls surprisingly quickly but it also looks to get a jump on the 'two' count. Regardless, it continues its pull. It would be great to see a rematch between these two cars with the GTR on a race gas map.

Sticky created the thread APR Stage I tuned 2015 DSG Volkswagen MKVII GTI before and after 1/4 mile results.
" APR released their Stage I ECU tune software for the new MKVII Volkswagen GTI last week. The software showed some very impressive gains on the dyno and APR provided VBOX acceleration data as well. GPS performance meter testing is great but we obviously like to see 1/4 mile dragstrip numbers in addition and APR has now provided a set of timeslips. The stock 2015 DSG MKVII GTI runs a 14.283 @ 97.10 in the 1/4 mile on 93 octane pump gas.

That is with full weight and a density altitude of 1823 feet. Obviously summer weather is not going to produce record times but that is a great baseline especially for that density altitude. With just a change in the software alone the GTI runs a best elapsed time of 13.189 seconds and a best trap speed of 110.40 is achieved.

The 110.40 trap speed comes on the worse elapsed time of 13.223 and the 13.189 run has a 107.95 trap speed. Regardless, it looks like 108-110 is about the range for a 93 octane pump gas tuned MKVII GTI which certainly is impressive. All three timeslips are below.

You must be pleased to know that for 2016 DTM will switch to a 2L 4-cylinder turbo engine setup.
Yes, this is why the F82 M4 has no link to the DTM car unlike the E30 M3. So the E30 M3 is more race car off the showroom floor than the M4 ever will be.

When BMW nuts up and decides to race the "efficient dynamic" turbo engines, then they will regain some respect in motorsports. Right now, I don't see BMW even attempting to race an S55 powered car or develop a powerplant derived from the S55. The new M4 loses some of the heritage of the old M3 models, if they make no attempt to compete with the car.
Bingo. "
