" The CM FX700 is a completely different beast than the FX850 though, @alex@ABRhouston
. The FX850 has larger diameter discs and has different friction materials available, which make it much more streetable. I've driven an FX850 in an Evo X with the most street friendly combo (1 kevlar, 1 ceramic) and it was fine, absolutely nothing like what you've described. I looked up the FX700 though, and it does seem brutal. You should really try the FX850, you'll be surprised
As for Spec, my cousin has a Spec twin in his Evo and the hydraulic TOB kept failing, and they didn't have a good fix for it. It also had two unsprung discs in it and was like a light switch in terms of engagement. Best twins I've experienced are Exedy, CM, and Comp. "
