" Phew. I was gunna say....I mean they're beautiful wheels but close as makes no difference to $10K mounted for wheels? That would be fierce.

$3K is actually a "good deal" when you think about it. Stick what wheels are going on the M3? "

2. The revised Cayman looks absolutely beautiful. Not much on the market that looks better for the price point. Hell, at any price point.
3. $3.1K per wheel? Or for a set? Per wheel that is noooooo joke. But I understand the quality and pedigree that comes with HREs.
Heh it's for a set man. These are the 'affordable' HRE's. "

You would think so wouldn't you. But in trying to get certain connectors from the dealer for our projects, they basically said. Yeah you buy the whole harness or nothing at all. We don't sell single connectors silly rabbit. "

Sticky replied to the thread ESS tuning and service issues || EVOLVE to the resuce with more power.
" I have been asked to delete this thread. I will not do so.

The owner of the M5 is apparently according to him being threatened by ESS due to this thread and asked me to delete this. I think deleting this does not fix the problem, it only masks it.

BimmerBoost will not cave in to bullies. I told the owner if ESS withholds whatever refund they are supposed to give him I will step in to reimburse him from my own pocket.

I strongly believe he should stand up for himself and not be bullied. I will not participate in hiding poor customer service or abuse. "

ive never said that the M10 block wasnt strong nor good at the F1 application

if the M10 block is so good they would be using it on modern engines
It makes the block good for F1 that it is strong right?

Yes, they raided the parts bin and found an over engineered block that made for one of the best motors in F1 history. "

" All BMW factory turbo cars these days sound really farty. And this is generally made worse by aftermarket exhausts. There were few exhausts I liked for my 335.

I have high hopes for this new M4, but I really don't think I'll ever be taken by how it sounds. Then again I drive around in a tin can full of bees. "

Any connector can be found in Asia, and they will usually send you samples for free. You need to do a little research and figured out exactly which connector is it and then contact a connector manufacture via alibabba etc. Trying to get them from the actual OEM manufacture wont happen as the MOQ is sky high. I'm going to have a separate set of wheels/tires for the dragstrip. I want my daily setup to be good enough for roll racing and cornering some fun roads in my area and not be horrible in the rain. I'll be putting down 600+whp with ease, so I'm not sure something like a DWS, PSS, or INVO would fair so well even from a 40-50mph roll "

So take whatever you are paying for the R888's and double it then do a comparison to the PSS, because in the end, that is the true cost.
Yeah, for anyone not realizing this, that is true, and PSS have a great reputation for lasting a longer while, which is probably why they are on so many production vehicles.

But for me:

Quite literally I'm in one of the warmest areas of the United States and we see the highest number of sunny days than anyone else, so I'm not worried about cold weather or anything. We do however get lots of rain the summer, it comes fast, hard, and quick and then is gone, that's my only concern. I could honestly care less how long they last, it's more about how well they perform.
@ChuckD05 that is some awesome input. I'm actually really glad to here how the R888's did in rain cause that's my main concern. My BFG G-force DR's are pretty bad in the rain. Any experience with the BFG G-force T/A? That's the other main tire I was looking at. I don't think I'm going to go with INVO's again, even though I only had a short experience with them on 20" wheels and they were surprisingly good for a 25 ratio...LOL and looked cool as hell "

Josh@Cobb replied to the thread Warnings to 335is owners and possible others?.
" New ROMs from a supported "family" (IJE0S, I8A0S, etc) are pretty easy to add since all of the addressing and code is the same. When its a completely new family like this one (INA0S), we have to go back and find every table, axis, monitor, etc. I then have to go back through the code to verify that there are no logic changes that would affect tuning... this is the longest process since I want to make sure that we don't assume that everything is the same. We don't want to push out maps and firmware only to find out that logic changes from BMW are now causing issues with the tunes.

Once all of that is done, I have to make the logic changes that we incorporate into our maps, add support to ATP/ATR and AP firmware, create new maps, and get the new builds pushed out. I highly doubt there's anything majorly different, but there are enough small changes that it takes a lot of time to go through the code. I'm surprised that BMW came out with a new version, but its likely to address some small issue.

We'll get it done as quickly as possible, but we definitely want it to be done right so that we don't have any issues after release. "
