Sticky created the thread OBD-II ECU flashing with your Android mobile device is a reality - OE Tuning presents the Droid Personal Flasher.
" Flashing of vehicle ECU's through the OBD-II (on board diagnostics) port is not exactly anything new. Even flashing from a mobile device is not new but seeing it accomplished on such a wide scale and compatible with any android device certainly is a step forward. OE Tuning is utilizing the Droid Personal Flasher to deliver tunes. The way it works is the device is tied to a tuner and that tuner can provide a maximum of four files for the user to flash whenever they decide to.

A total of four files is a bit limiting as is the device being tied to a single tuner. That means if you want to use the device to flash files from different companies to compare them you would need a new device since it is VIN locked and the files are available through the Droid Personal Flasher back end.

This is not exactly a free form flashing tool but no doubt one will come in time as Flashtec who makes the device and backend is obviously trying to lock this down for their own benefit. With how much piracy there is in the tuning industry who can blame them?

Regardless, this is definitely a step forward and with the wide number supported platforms this certainly is an interesting tuning development. "

I have HRE C90's. I will probably have HRE refinish them for me and I may change up the color. "

2. The revised Cayman looks absolutely beautiful. Not much on the market that looks better for the price point. Hell, at any price point.
3. $3.1K per wheel? Or for a set? Per wheel that is noooooo joke. But I understand the quality and pedigree that comes with HREs.
Heh it's for a set man. These are the 'affordable' HRE's. "

" I have been asked to delete this thread. I will not do so.

The owner of the M5 is apparently according to him being threatened by ESS due to this thread and asked me to delete this. I think deleting this does not fix the problem, it only masks it.

BimmerBoost will not cave in to bullies. I told the owner if ESS withholds whatever refund they are supposed to give him I will step in to reimburse him from my own pocket.

I strongly believe he should stand up for himself and not be bullied. I will not participate in hiding poor customer service or abuse. "

ive never said that the M10 block wasnt strong nor good at the F1 application

if the M10 block is so good they would be using it on modern engines
It makes the block good for F1 that it is strong right?

Yes, they raided the parts bin and found an over engineered block that made for one of the best motors in F1 history. "
