" I'm going to be fabbing up a top mount s372 T4 kit on my friends 335i. I am very familiar with tunerpro and EFI tuning priciples, since I have been tuning EFI systems for well over 10yrs. I have a BT cable and have read about a hidden forum on bimmerboost for the development of the open source code and XDF files. I'd love access to this information. I'll be more than willing to test different ideas and share what I learn along the way. One question I do have is: why are n54's only running roughly 10* of timing, while running boost pressures that normally would allow 20*+ of timing. I normally run over 20* until well past 10psi, on other platforms I have dyno tuned. On e85 I have ran well past 30* of timing to well past 10psi(basically NA timing values). I don't understand the low timing values used. Less than MBT would just add massive heat to the exhaust and is generally NOT GOOD FOR TURBOS. This also may be causing many of the main o2 sensor failures on ST n54's. Thank you for any insight given. "
If your additives and multiplicatives are way positive, then you need to adjust your base tune to make it more rich.
its not a hard thing to understand.
additives are in milliseconds. at idle its adding/subtracting XX in milliseconds to fuel injection pulse width.
multiplicatives are in percentage, which is under load and driving.... its adding/subtracting xx% over the entire fuel curve.
Always wondered how BMW scaled trims... thank you for that little gem "
I'm attempting to get a refund on my kit, but eventually when I sort things out, I'm going to install an M5 fuel pump (no tuning required), then I've got 32# injectors (will require tuning) from a buddies VF Engineering kit and then having to figure out how to make them work.
I'm looking forward to seeing you make this happen but you have quite a bit of work ahead of you. "
" brought meth on full at 20psi and did some heavy hitting 4th gear logs...
and one 3-4 shift. with meth at 20psi i cant even do 3rd gear on the street safely its all over the place now lmao.. need wheels and tires ASAP
seems ok. feels fine. ill send these .csvs to @Terry@BMS
" Great results here from the Gulf region with an SL63 putting down some impressive numbers at the Yas Marina drag strip in the Abu Dhabi. The R231 SL63 AMG is the lightest car available in the Mercedes-Benz lineup with the M157 5.5 liter twin turbo AMG V8 and it shows. It isn't light at ~4100 pounds but it is about 200 pounds less than the rear wheel drive E63 AMG. PP-Performance tuned this car and modified the turbos bumping output to roughly 800 crank horsepower.
The result on the dragsrip is close to a mid 10 second run with a 10.691 at 133.937 miles per hour. The 60 foot is a solid 1.685 seconds meaning that despite the street rubber the car is hooking well.

How does your neighbor have an E90 with the carbon roof when... the e90 doesn't have the carbon roof? I understand you are cheerleading for the new cars and whatnot but you clearly pulled this out of nowhere.
Do you have a picture to show the car's weight and of its carbon roof? Because others have shown actual weights.
So you've never seen a car that doesn't come with a cf roof, end up with one? I guess things are different on the west cost. "
