Yes. The E85 backend flash runs a lot more timing than stock and a more aggressive fuel scalar to account for the Ethanol. You need adequate amounts of Ethanol to run the E85 flash as well, generally E50+. If you switched back to a tank of pump gas with the flash you will be running too much timing and a scalar not suited for pump fuel.

If you tend to run E85 just occasionally (and not excessive amounts, such as in a few gallons in a full tank of 91/93) then you'd probably be better off running the pump flash and just running Map 5 when you add the few gallons of E85 to make more boost. Not sure what Map you are running now. "

Correct, but see it like we see people cross shopping gtr's and corvettes or M3's and corvettes. On one hand you have rear space for kids, trunk space for whatever, on the other hand a 2 seat sports car. Same price range 2 different styles of driving. "

" Chances are these guys have some very high end software "specialist" that were able to beat the encryption, and then worked with a Jailbreak "tuner" to modify some of the OEM tables. This is how it starts, so more people work on it, it'll slowly get more and more refined, in addition to more control over the OEM tables. "

2 problems with this -- 1) Kills resale value & backdoors BMW into making sure when the car is sold, that someone doesn't try to sell the car with a "warranty" and 2) how to do you prevent someone basically "copying" the unlocked code onto a car that is still technically covered under manufacture warranty?Puts a LOT of responsibility on the manufacturer that they just don't want to waste their time (and money, and resources) with. "
