Manual transmissions cause a delay during gear shifts. Thats what made me choose an auto trans.

Even the SMG 2 shifts lazy, which can be seen on the g graph.

I have been using an automatic transmission for the last 1 year.

Auto transmissions shift with zero loss of time and zero loss of boost pressure.

This kit is not like a TH400, BMW 750i drivability.

Will there be interest for an auto transmission for E46 M3, supercharged or turbocharged?

I can build a kit where there will be an auto transmission, tcu (transmission control unit), propeller shaft, bell housing, torque converter up to the use of car, trans oil cooler and some more goodies.

Gear shift speeds, gear change engine speeds can be dialed in as per request.

Part throttle light load shifts are smooth.
Wide open throttle shifts are darn fast.

Gains: faster times, faster shifting, no drama in traffic.

I was going to keep it for my M3s, but I may build complete kits for the public.

I've been reading over a few threads on various boards, trying to get my head around where i should go to get what I want moving.

It's clear I'm going to have to buy a copy of IDA Pro. (Yuck, that's not inexpensive.)

The problem is, I have no idea what CPU the Siemens MS45 even uses.

On one forum ecuconnections and chiptuners boards were mentioned. Anyone know what's a good resource / community for doing this sort of thing? Or anyone here aside from Nick doing this sort of thing?

I'm looking into some physical hardware swap that will require modification of the actual control code in the MS45. Any helpful pointers or information is appreciated.

For those who have tuned a vehicle with the same boost parameters (if FI), or NA and changed only octane, how much more timing were you able to add, and as a result, how much power were you able to pick up?

Here's a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of history. Yes it is true, I am selling my Orange HPF Widebody M3 ($49,500) and the 28 ft. HPF Trailer w/built in winch for ($6,900). The car runs and drives great. In the past year I have only tracked the car once and we are raising capital for development on newer models.

This was the first E46 M3 to ever have a working turbo kit on it when it was blue. It was then turned into a street/track car with the first Asuka widebody kit in the world and was painted pearl white. After that it was painted orange and turned into a full blown track supercar. As most of you know, this car is the real deal. It has been on the cover of countless magazines. It has set nearly every horsepower record for the E46 M3 over the years. There are so many mods (over $150K) done to this car that it would take a day to compile a list.

Bring your truck to Portland and you can drive them both away.

After searching for a way to beef up the zf 5 speed auto in my 01' 330i, I came across ipt. They offer a completely built transmission for 4k+ that claims to support racing applications. I planned on going with the Technique Tuning stage 2 kit and run 8 psi. Does anyone have any info about ipt or how strong and well built this particular trans is?
