    • ESS (esstuning) supercharged manual E92 M3 runs the 1/4 mile in 11.9@118, first manual M3 in the 11's

Prodigymb took his friends ESS supercharged M3 to the drag strip and ran the first 11 second pass for a manual M3 that we know of turning an 11.9@118 mph. Congratulations for running 11's but the car seems to be down on power and has been from the beginning. This is a VT-2 600 with full exhaust and a higher boost pulley so we don't know why the dyno numbers are not over 500 whp. Regardless, congrats to the parties involved for being the first manual to run 11's.

Certainly seems to be on paper. Makes you wonder why there is such a disparity?

Would be great for them to hit a strip.

Time added to 1/4 mile list.

Street Tires and race gas I take it or were you on DR's?

Also, full exhaust as well just which one?

        Updated to reflect drag radials.

Need to get much more heat into them at you should be cutting 1.7 60 foots.

        Next time...

Going to get the tune update to VT625 and also fix the air filter restriction which was supposed to be done by the shop that installed Aquamist since they had the bumper off, but was never adressed. Hopefully get the meth flowing by the next visit to the track as well.

yeah for sure. i have no problem running u at the track. i just want to get the proper/bigger air filter on so that the car hit the 7.5psi instead of 6.9. i also want to change belt since we didnt do that when we went from 6.5psi pulley to the 7.5 psi pulley. finally a VT625 retune....will send the ECU to ESS next week. seeing IMGs impressive dyno is motivating...

it did look like his car baselined higher then this one, but i hope we will see 540-560whp once everything i mentioned is done.

How do you explain the power difference between this setup and IMG's and M33's dynos?

Seems like a solid run to me for the power the car put down. I do agree that this car will trap in the low 120's once the driver(s) get some more seat time.

        a couple things,

        1. my best was 11.9@122 or 14.7@123 for mph last October i believe (same day i saw/talked to a GTR owner run his mouth about 127mph stock traps and then run 119mph.. i wanted to run him bad after that Click here to enlarge ), only did 11.9@116 (16psi) and the again 11.9@121 18psi last day at atco last yr,
2.auto's are not as easy as your claiming, your not just letting the car shift itself to stay in the meat of the powerband

although this M's numbers might be dissapointing, thats only in comparison to a select few around the country. The same is said for my times when looking at N54 MPH's. stock turbo guys are running 120+ traps with only 420-430HP, yet me @ 490-500, am i slow, or are they fast?

once there is more data from other and simliar setups local to here, then we shall see what is what.

I actually applaud the efforts and the forthcoming sharing of the info here, as it shows what can be expected.

        now we are getting somewhere:

your bench racing skills are top notch. you are comparing this car to cars that are obviously faster and make more power. they run 9psi, this one hits 6.9psi. they run meth and race/pump mix, this was on straight pump. all those cars are also DCT which is faster, ESS DCT cars are faster then ESS 6spd cars too.

here is dyno for this car...
