    • You Wish Performance N54 top mount twin scroll turbo kit - Garrett 6265 or 6465 turbos

Another day, another N54 single turbo option. BimmerBoost is not familiar with You Wish Performance but they tend to produce products for other makes. They entered the BMW market with their top mount N54 twin scroll single turbo kit.

      It starts at $4599:

      -Twin scroll top mount manifold
-6265 or 6465 Garrett Gtw billet wheel turbo
      -Turbosmart 40mm wastegates
      -Turbo down pipe
      -Wastegate dump tubes
      -Turbo blanket
      -Turbo Intake filter
      -Mac solenoid
      -Rear oil/coolant block offs
      -Turbo feed/drain
      -Charge pipe to intercooler
      -Aluminum coolant tube
      -Coolant tank relocation hose/bracket
      -Hardware/Turbo manifold Gaskets

Their kit with a Garrett 6265 was tuned by EMP Tuning and made 622 horsepower to the wheels without port injection or meth at 23 psi:

Another option in the hotly contested single turbo market.

Where did they get the necessary fueling to hit 622whp without PI or meth??? Shotgun?

Id say more on the 580whp side. Look at the graph and the blip at the end lol every dyno with these guys its the same story.

Crazy to see another n54 specific kit. Surprised more people aren’t doing kits that fit both n54/55

Looks to be the same price as doc race. Not sure why you'd choose this kit over a proven performer?

They source our N54/N55 flanges so they should work on N55 as well- may need some minor tweaks with the oil and coolant lines though.

        Thanks,
        Rob

Me too. You would think you could tweak a few things to make an N55 kit pretty easily.

That little tweak offsets everything else to need to tweak so basically it's a whole new design everywhere and jigs are needed for each piece. ACF made a top mount N55 last year that Terry@bms tuned, it made some good power but I think the market and demand wasn't high enough.

Hmm not sure how many people will hop on this given how it is the exact same starting price as the Doc Race kit. I think it would need to be a good deal less to steal sales away from DocRace. Just my opinion.

Always nice to see more single kits available.

Seems like every dyno they post is cropped in some way and there aren't logs to go along with them. What's so hard about posting a proper graph with some logs?

Nice, glad to see a kit with a Gtw turbo. I think I was the first to put one on this platform over a year ago. Been a great turbo, spools well, on my 20lb map I hit 20lbs at 3600-3700rpm. Made 660whp on 25psi through an auto also. Havent dynoed on 28psi tho yet.

Proper dyno chart with afr and logs needed to make this viable.
Other wise useless and just blowing smoke up your ass.
Would also like to see the exhaust manifold, this looks like a one off custom.

You would have to ask them or EMP tuning. @ajehoti

Nothing at all. People just do $#@!ty Instagram posts with half a graph and think that is good enough.

I personally think that was more due to the fact that, if I remember correctly, the person ACF built that kit for.. had an extensive forum thread about the whole ordeal.. where it took nearly a year to complete with the persons car in ACF's possession the entire time. That's insane.. and would scare most sane people off. It sure as $#@! scared me away.

ACF got the car in April, the customer had it back in October. For R&D and to build a complete kit from scratch for production purposes as well as tuning something that hasn't been done successfully before. I think 6 months was a little long, but other companies can even take years. Once jigged they can be mass produced and made in a couple of days.

@ajehoti ... can we go back to the fueling here, what was used? LPFP upgrade, any HPFP mods or shotgun, TBI, etc?

What is it with you people and logs. This is the only platform on the planet that I even see people asking for that. A company that makes a turbo kit for a platform has no requirement to provide logs to anyone. I wouldn't. When using a turbo like a Garret or Precision, that's mass produced, that turbo is capable of flowing XX lbs/min based on wheel size. That will give you your estimate of what it should dyno. When it dynos around that, that's what you get, a dyno sheet. So quit crying when a vendor doesn't post logs. There are so many variables that have nothing to do with the turbo kit.

        100x. It's pretty hilarious anymore.

I was referring to the tuner. When it comes to showing off tuning results, a half decent graph and a log are uh... kinda important.
