    • VAC Motorsports ported/polished BMW N55 cylinder head coming

VAC Motorsports is well known in the BMW aftermarket for providing ported and polished heads as well as other machining services. Their N54 head shows a nice improvement and they are now tackling the N55 head as well.

We do not have the flow charts yet or specifications but their N54 head comes in several stages and you can expect similar things with the N55.

      For example:

      Stage I $1299.95:

      • Complete Disassembly & Cleaning
      • Comprehensive Leak, Crack & Pressure Test
      • Inspect All Components For Irregular Wear
      • Our High performance Multi Angle Valve Job using Serdi Equipment
      • All New Valve Guides
      • All New Viton Valve Seals
      • Blueprinting and reconditioning of Your Valves
      • Balancing of Your OE Springs
      • Trueness Checked & Resurfaced Mating Surface
      • Unshrouding of Valves / throat cut
      • Attention to Potential Hot-spot Areas and Chamfering

      Stage II $2399.95:

      • Comprehensive Leak, Crack & Pressure Test
      • Inspect All Components For Irregular Wear
      • Our Superior Max Performance Multi-angle Intake, Radius Exhaust Valve Job Using Serdi Equipment
      • Unshrouding of Valves
      • Attention to Potential Hot-spot Areas and Chamfering

      • Trueness Checked & Resurfaced Mating Surface
      • Ferrea High Performance Valve Springs, Balanced
      • Ferrea High Performance Titanium Alloy Retainers

      Stage III $3995.95:

      • Complete Disassembly & Cleaning
      • Comprehensive Leak, Crack & Pressure Test
      • Inspect All Components For Irregular Wear
      • Our Superior Max Performance Multi-angle Intake, Radius Exhaust Valve Job Using Serdi Equipment
      • Unshrouding of Valves
      • Ferrea Competition Plus valves
      • Ferrea single spring design specifically designed for use in turbo engines
      • Ferrea titanium retainers
      • Meticulous full Port and Polish Work to enhance all performance characteristics
      • Attention to Potential Hot-spot Areas and Chamfering
      • CC'ed Chamber
      • All New Valve Guides
      • Trueness Checked & Resurfaced Mating Surface

The N55 headwork will obviously be quite similar to the N54 but what BimmerBoost wants to see is data to accompany the claims especially for the money involved here. Sadly, there is little flow data available for aftermarket turbo BMW I6 heads although a couple vendors have posted their charts.
