    • The new B9 Audi RS5 takes on the BMW F82 M4 Competition Pack and Mercedes-AMG W205 C63 S in drag and rolling races

Carwow decided to do a comparison between this trio and fortunately they did a drag race and a rolling race. It seems some people are getting it through their heads that a dig on street tires does not always display which car is actually the fastest.

Carwow previously compared this same C63 to a BMW F80 M3 ZCP and an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The Alfa Romeo was the champion with the C63 bringing up the rear.

Interestingly, a 0-150 comparison of the same three cars by Drivetribe had the C63 S come out on top.

So how does the new twin turbo V6 Audi RS5 do against its German rivals? Off the line, it crushes the rear wheel drive M3 and C63. The Mercedes starts to reel in the RS5 but there simply isn't enough room for it to catch the Audi. The M4 brings up the rear.

Based on that result the C63 should be the roll champion and the question mark will be the M4 against the RS5. For some reason, the Audi driver isn't in the right gear and waits for the car to kickdown on its own. Why? The Mercedes is gone by the time the Audi gets in the right gear. The M4 leaves it too. What is the point of doing a rolling comparison just to screw it up?

      Unbelievably stupid.

That AMG looks like a beast from a roll.

Weird it didn't perform like that in their previous vid.

I can't wait to see what this thing rips when they upgrade the 2.9TT from 450 to 550hp...tune and dps with race fuel should do it....

Nearly the same displacement as the S55 so the potential for it to produce 700hp with turbo upgrade is real.

        There will be a market for ZF8 upgrades like never before...RS7, RS5, F90 M5, G30 550, etc.

Turbos are a hell of a lot easier to reach too.

This is weird but all of the sudden that AMG is really really fast. Here is the same Mercedes from the same channel against a M3 from a roll and from a dig. The outcome is nowhere near the same as this race.

        WTF?????

Thats exactly what I was thinking. The video with the alpha and bmw was completely different. Never trust any of these reviews now. Also if that audi pulls on it so much at the start as you would expect with awd then how can they both be 3.9 to 60.

So True Click here to enlarge

I think its probably that the RS5 can do 3.9 consistently and on unprepared surfaces while the C63s can pull a 3.9 ONLY on a pre-prepped surface with roll-out time reduction, etc, etc.

The same goes for the M3/M4, please show me who has hit its advertised 0-60 besides on a prepped surface...

You can reach 60 in the same amount of time but different distances.

This has nothing to do with this article, but I asked 2 tow truck drivers what car brand they tow the most- #1-Audi , #2-Range Rover and #3-Jaguar .
