    • 0-60, 0-100, & 0-150 test between the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, BMW F80 M3 ZCP, and Mercedes-AMG W205 C63 S

An acceleration comparison between these three cars is something we have already seen but the more data the better, right? A few months back Carwow tested this same trio and the Alfa Romeo was the winner with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S bringing up the rear.

Somehow the W205 Mercedes-AMG C63 S goes from last to first. Odd, yet not surprising as the M177 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 is a beast of a powerplant.

How do you explain this variance though? These days you have to be wary of a manufacturer providing a ringer.

Whatever the reasoning in this test the C63 AMG S is easily the strongest car of the three. It shows its power advantage past 100 mile per hour where it catches up and passes the Alfa en route to 150 miles per hour. That is strong evidence of much more power especially in the heavier W205.

Traction plays a huge role and once that is mitigated the C63 is able to stretch its powerful legs.

Drivetribe is doing a great job. I just wish they were including dyno runs like some of their other tests.

Amazing that the Alfa made it all the way to 150 mph without breaking

I think it's well established the ATS-V is the slowest of the new turbo bunch.

Would like to see it included though.

Ha! I thought you were kidding, but then paid attention at the time you mentioned. I love this car so much, but I guess you have to put up with some deficiencies because it's an Alfa. How they didn't catch that during testing/quality assurance makes me wonder what else is up the car's sleeve. Click here to enlarge

I still want one though. It's a seriously fast and well sorted car for the weight.

It's quick for sure but it does not seem to be refined. It feels rushed to me IMO.

I love it too but have to look at it like the girl that will f*&! your brains out but ruin your life at the same time, lol. My buddy was about to get a great deal on one but backed out after a dealership mechanic told him there's a lot of teething issues with this first model year going on...

C&D has 0-150 @ 19.8 seconds for the ATS-V. It also crushes the C63 vanilla edition. The S must have quite an upgrade in powah.

        No, that ATS-V was a ringer: http://www.boostaddict.com/content.php?6279-WTF-Car-and-Driver-gets-wildly-different-(and-fast!)-2016-Cadillac-ATS-V-test-figures-12-1-122-1-4-mile-1-02g-skidpad-3800-pounds-curb-weight

ATS-V crushes 2015 BMW and C63, but in this thread they're comparing F80 ZCP and C63 S, vs Alfa ... Except now when they pair it up with the current year ATS-V it still matches up well.

        C63 S fantastic high-performance luxury car
ATS-V is best handling sports sedan on the planet
BMW ZCP? By a mile best of the M3's
But Alfa does everything just as well or better than every car here.

        C63 S
        0-60 4.0s \ 12.2@119.5mph

        ATS-V
        0-60 3.7s \ 12.1@116.2mph
