    • FBO BMW F80 M3 with upgraded turbos, JB4 tune + methanol vs. Challenger Hellcat

A race posted last month where a full bolt on F80 M3 on ethanol pulls a Charger Hellcat automatic is being questioned. Why? Well, due to the race below where a stock Challenger Hellcat making about 660 whp put up a better fight against an F80 M3 with upgraded turbos.

Now, there are many variables. Tuning alone for upgraded S55 turbochargers like these Pure Turbos Stage 2 units is a huge factor. Without a back end flash it is not making the most of the turbo upgrade. The M3 is on methanol so the lack of E85 should not make a huge difference.

Regardless, the M3 pulls but it does not show much better than the bolt on tuned car versus this Hellcat. Also, who knows if the Hellcat is actually stock or not.

The point is a tuned S55 motor can run from a roll and beat a Hellcat which is no small feat.

fwiw stock challenger hellcat record is 10.56 @ 132 iirc , so its not surprising that the hellcat could keep up somewhat

as for the passing at end, it seems like M3 let off and the HC just kept going
