    • BMW streamlining (cutting costs) by eliminating F22 2-Series manual option as well as overall engine options

The kings of cost cutting to increase profit margins are pushing things even further. BMW will eliminate the manual transmission option from the F22 2-Series lineup in the United States. They only build one thing, remember?

Well, with the 2-Series losing the enthusiast's transmission of choice it certainly makes it hard to defend BMW's slogan.

The 2-Series is not the only victim. BMW intends to reduce engine choices across the lineup. They think they offer too many variants. This will mostly affect diesels but in the USA your choices are going to pretty much be a B48 I4 or B58 I6 motor in the majority of cars.

BMW believes the market will become more difficult. The truth is this is a reaction to BMW's car sales taking a major tumble in the USA.

BMW is just a joke nowadays. They don't offer a single vehicle that's the best in its class besides maybe the X5M. Dead brand.

        Their SUV's perform well.

Maybe they'll get their mojo back with the upcoming CS cars?

Either way, BMW is not on the table for me likely ever again.

It's because bmw isn't doing anything new really and now they are going to cut back? Sounds silly to me.

BMW and Audi should look at Mercedes and compare the amenities of alike classes. Mercedes styling is always ahead of the game. Hell look at the S-class interior, air conditioning and available Burmester audio. I have Burmester amps and pre amp for my home audio and nothing compares.

Porsche can just remain in the class of elites and not be judge with plebs lol

Looks like the manual is safe. Something was lost in translation.
