    • Stock internal BMW S55 1/4 mile record set with 10.1@139 F80 M3 pass - Pure Turbos Stage 2, Precision BEF, JB4, etc.

The S55 motor is a hair from the 9's on the stock internals. Yes, we have at length talked about motor issues but it certainly is time to give big credit to the powerplant. Making impressive power and torque with the S55 motor clearly isn't a problem.

What is the recipe for this result? Here you are:

      - Pureturbos Stage 2
      - Precision Tuning Motorsports BEF
      - Burger Motorsports JB4
      - FBO
      - DDS clutch pack
      - FULL WEIGHT
      - Race Fuel
      - Stock motor
      - Stock Fuel systems

At this level you will need a transmission upgrade and new BoostAddict premier vendor Dodson is able to supply the clutch packs that will hold on a stout launch:

The car is also on the stock fuel system. This is the same car that previously set the stock internal S55 record at 10.25 @ 136 miles per hour. It made 652 rear wheel horsepower at that time.

      Congratulations to all involved!

This car is just one of those the more you work on them, the less you realize you actually know about cars in general! Lol They never stop teaching you and never done learning from them... Just hope this is not the case when the time to fix it comes! Haha

Ps. How do I reach out to Dodson through the forum? I'm working on something I'm gonna need a solid clutch, right on his area of expertise...

I would put my wagon in reverse off the line to get that sound away from me as fast as possible, which would be winning in my book. lol

Funny thing is these truck engines sound surprisingly similar to the S55

E.T. aside, if they can trap 140 on the stock fuel system, that will be impressive as hell! I suspect that will happen since they are already so close.

Also, five years from now when almost every manufacturer has switched over to smaller displacement turbo engines, I guarantee people will be hugging nuts on how unique the S55 sounds, compared to the other turbo engines. This includes a lot of you current haters Click here to enlarge

Believe it or not, Max boost on this car is 30-31 psi, We could be running more power but knowing that we are close to the stock internal engine, if we blow it up then we cant have fun with it. Its been difficult to not bring that boost up, and being so close to the 9s makes it even more challenging to not go crazy and let it have "one more pound" lol
