      This crank hub capture idea is something VTT also applies to the N54 motor with some design differences.

The VTT S55 crank bolt capture. slips over the head of the crank bolt, fully encapsulates it, and locks it to the crank hub, meaning it cannot back out no matter what.

        Great idea! I look forward to seeing how this performs over time on the S55. Might have to get an S55 is their Achilles heel is fixed.

        Yesterday I was searching for this device, but then I come up with followigh: I think this device will add additional moment of inertia, plus may be a little bit overbalanced. How critical are my concerns?

        The capture weighs 1.3 Ozs, so it adds virtually no weight to the front of crank. It should have no effect on balance, nor inertia.

        We need to see feedback with some hard usage but if the S55 crank hub issue were resolved the platform would jump forward with interest.
