    • Bolt on 2013 Gen V Viper wrecking everything - McLaren 570S, Ferrari 458, F13 M6, E85 GTR, FBO Hellcat, C6 Vette, Nitrous Camaro, TT Camaro, etc.

If you do not like the Gen V Dodge Viper you are not a car enthusiast. What is there not to like? That it has perfect weight distribution? That it is light? That Dodge gave the engine forged internals specifically so it could handle tons of boost and nitrous? Is it too much of an enthusiast's car?

They certainly do not make them like the Viper any longer. The vehicle requires driver skill because there is no transmission option that will do the work for you. To get the most out of it a 'driver mod' is a must.

Just look at what a bolt on Viper is capable of:

      Race 1 DME Tuning tuned F13 M6 677 whp

The M6 jumps but the Viper doesn't care. It makes up the distance and passes until letting off. The second run has a more even start and the Viper pulls.

      Race 2 stock McLaren 570S

A stock McLaren 570S is a nasty little car. The light McLaren opens up a lead but the Viper pulls back at higher speeds. They run again and it looks like the McLaren by virtue of its dual clutch transmissions pulls inches on each shift. Very close runs by two very stout cars.

Race 3 stock Gen V Viper TA

Viper on Viper action. The Orange Viper jumps but it is toast. This just goes to show how much stronger a bolt on Viper is than a stock Viper.

Race 4 Ferrari 458 with exhaust

      Cubes. That is all.

Race 5 FBO E85 Hellcat vs. DME Tuning M6

A race the Viper sits out. The Hellcat just runs away from the M6. Not much of a race with the M6 letting off.

Race 6 FBO E85 Hellcat vs. stock Gen V Viper TA

Dodge on Dodge action with the Hellcat crushing the Viper.

      Race 7 Heads/Cam C6 LS3

Back to the Viper. The C6 is no match.

Race 8 Cammed FBO C6 with 200 shot

A C6 with nitrous now. Maybe he needs to check his bottle pressure?

Race 9 Bolt on cammed Camaro with 175 shot

      Nope.

Race 10 three way between bolt on CTS-V, TT LSX Camaro

The Caddy is overmatched and the Camaro eventually gets going but by then the race is over. A rematch between the Camaro and the Viper has the Camaro pull before letting off. They go at it a third time and the Camaro decisively pulls.

Race 11 GTR with E85 and upgraded turbos

The Viper takes race 1 and the GTR takes race 2. The third and final round goes to the GTR but it is quite close.

Great video, great runs, and a well driven Viper.

@Sticky, you forgot to mention in the list of reasons to like that it has a transmission that allows you to shift hard AF!

Amazing how the straight line performance difference between supercars and sports cars in the current turbo era has blurred. Hyper cars are still in their own league.

Are they? Pretty sure something called a Demon holds the 1/4 mile record.

Haha, yea I don't really consider a purposed built drag car with a factory line lock and passenger seat option a car that can do anything but a 1/4 mile in the same league. Regardless, line them up in a 1/2 mile and see what happens once all that design oriented 60' grip is negated.

Neither do I just pointing out supercar acceleration has not been relegated to supercars for quite a while. Plenty of cars can embarrass a P1 or 918.

Trap speed will win the 1/2 mile. All the Demon needs to do is throw on a pulley, E85, bolt ons and it is likely favored in a 1/2 mile.
