    • OE tuning M54 dyno tune on E46 330i on 91 pump, 19 horsepower

OE Tuning recently completed a custom dyno tune on a 2002 E46 330i. These gains are seen on 91 octane pump gas. In addition, the car is completely stock other than the tune. Torque gains are seen throughout the curve as well as considerable gains down low in the rev range. The car gains almost 20 pound-feet at the wheels at peak. Pricing information to be available shortly.

The M54 is pretty mildly tuned from the factory.

The S52 is in a higher state of tune but can still see gains like this. The OBD I S50 even greater...

Hmm, nice gains, now would the same tune work for my 2005 530i with an M54 engine? OE Tuning's site just lists tunes for the N52 engine in the 530.

Yes, this tune is an M54 engine so no reason it would not work on your M54.

Thanks Sticky, that's what I hope, but I guess I need to contact OE Tuning to confirm.

Well, since my warranty just ran out a couple of weeks ago, a tune is DEFINITELY in my future...................maybe even (dare I say) an SC kit.
