    • E39 M5 with S52 swap plus Precision 6870 turbo makes 836 whp + runs vs. 730 whp CTS-V and 780 whp C6

This E39 M5 belongs to BimmerBoost member @Omni who just keeps pushing the limits. You may remember that he previously made 813 whp at 35 psi with a Precision 6266. His setup has changed yet again (more details to come) but he is now making more power with slightly less boost.

The torque number is lower however as previously he was over 800 lb-ft at the wheels but now is at 722 lb-ft at the wheels with a good looking curve:

The car moves and you can read all about his decision to swap in the S52 and turbo it from a past article.

After the dyno in the video he runs a CTS-V sedan and the M5 is at 28 psi of boost. The CTS-V gets the lead (blower torque) but the M5 pulls up top. Compare this run against a 750 whp CTS-V wagon previously.

Up next is a C6 Corvette with ~780 whp. The M5 is at 30 psi for this race and also has a passenger. It's a very good race with the M5 appearing to edge up top before getting off it.

      Simply a badass E39.

The torque curve between the 6266 and 6870 look completely different. Curious as to what other changes were made.

He went from a bottom mount to a top mount.

Also says this turbo has quite a bit more in it and he'll be pushing for 900+ whp.
