    • F80 M3 makes 683 whp without methanol injection with upgraded S55 turbos, JB4, and a back end flash tune

      Almost 700 wheel horsepower here from the S55 motor. This car is on 100 octane race fuel but does not have supplemental methanol injection. The turbochargers are upgraded Pure Turbos Stage 2 S55 units.


      The result is 683 horsepower and 657 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. In what correction factor you ask? Well, that is not specified. Some of these 'tuners' need to get out of the habit of taking low resolution cell phone shots of graphs and simply posting full graphs with all the details:


      The F80 M3 also features upgraded DCT clutches and a back end flash to work with the BMS JB4 S55 piggyback. The intake is also upgraded as are the downpipes.

      Great peak numbers without any methanol band-aids.

        looks great. nice to see a car using race fuels instead of going the all too common e85 route that requires a higher flowing fuel system. adding methanol injection would be beneficial for iat control and a little added octane.

        Super impressed to see people getting huge gains from simple turbo upgrades....But actually more impressed that owners are doing this with the crank hub issue still out there...i psyched myself out of getting one as a result of that issue so I love to see people saying F-it and winning.         Wow. Great stuff. But why not get the meth (boost juice) for cooling and protection?

        How strong are the internals on the s55 motor?

        585 whp and 575 wtq at 23 psi.

        Good numbers! I've been trying to look up our Australian pump 98 vs your 92/93. It seems to be the same.... Only other question is why the jb and a flash? BM3 or other flashes not capable of as much boost control?

        I think the JB4 allows them to hit higher boost than just flash only.
