    • COBB Tuning AccessPORT Stage 1 335xi vs. 335i JB3 roll on race video

Here we have a direct comparison between a 335 with the Cobb Tuning Accessport Stage 1 vs. a 335 with a JB3 2.0, Stett CAI, and Stett charge pipe. The JB3 car pulls but it is important to note it is RWD vs. an AWD car so not exactly apples to apples. Also, we assume this was pump fuel. Still, great to see a comparison like this.

Good comparison for sure. Its also interesting to note from looking at the video, the Jb3 car has a passenger in it, and the COBB car does not.

        Cant see video, says private.

I read the cobb is MT and Xi, the JB3 is AT.

This is what the owner of the video said:

"Sorry fellas, someone asked me to pull it down. We'll do some more runs soon and post 'em up!"

        Wierd.

For anyone didnt see it break down was this:

        E92 335i AT ( Driver and Passenger)
        JB3 2.0 Map5
stett chargepipe with BOV or DV i forgot... (no power adder here)
        stett intake

        vs

        E92 335xi MT (only driver)
        COBB stage 1
        BMS DCI

        Both on 93 octane
45 roll and 25 roll, JB3 car won both races.

From what I've read, the Cobb is going to hurt piggies - before or after they figure out meth control. From their other offerings, this seems like a solid tune. Better than giac for numerous resons. Right now, the beta Proceed maps have a lot to measure up to.

Really need two AT cars for a comparo. Who knows what skill level the MT driver is, whether the MT is the cobb or JB3 car. It also would help if one wasn't an xi.

Oh boo, they made it private. Sorry folks Click here to enlarge

Wish I would have thought to mirror it but I mean 1 in 100 get pulled and it usually is a pretty good reason. Wonder if Cobb requested it to be removed?

From the COBB owner from this race video:

"let me summarize- 6AT jb3 map 5 stett CAI v. XI 6 MT cobb stg1 BMS DCI- the jb3 beat the cobb car by a couple of lengths in 2 runs. Part of the loss was the shift, but the cobb was a bit slower."

Need to see two cars of the same type, transmission type and mods for equal comparo....

If they're running they same boost at the lower levels 12-14psi, with all else equal, they should be equal.

When doing some runs against and identically modded car to mine (one had procede v5 one had jb4), they were dead even from 40-120....

At the same boost they likely will be equal and even though it is not an apples to apples comparison it is still nice to see.
