    • Pictures of the state M5junky's E60 M5 was in when removed from ASR Engineering for failure to complete custom twin turbo setup

Steve (M5junky) sent us these pictures with permission to post them. These pictures reveal the state his E60 M5 was in after having spent about 2 years at ASR Engineering. The car was sent there for a twin turbo built motor setup as most of you know and nothing was done. Well, nothing other than stripping the car the car down and leaving it a huge mess. The transmission was pulled and looks to be left stock. The motor was pulled and not built as agreed. The engine bay, well, you can see for yourself.

There is much more to all of this and the legal wheels are turning. We do not want to get in the way or step on anyone's toes so we will simply let this play out. What people should be aware of is that tens of thousands were spent by M5junky and M5Ranger to receive their twin turbo setups on the E60 M5 only to be jerked around with nothing being completed and the money being pocketed. No refund has been issued as of this point and we will follow progress on the story as it develops.

Well, at least you have the luxury of being able to check what is going on.

I just read this entire thread and I'm just wow.

        ASR is a joke =/

I'm very sorry to hear this has happened to both of you guys. But in 2yrs I'm pretty sure I could have finished both your cars in my backyard =/. I hope all gets sorted out in your favors.

Any yes, Lamia2super, you're correct on the shop deal. But you need to understand, Abid's mechanic is just that, a parts swapper guy. Abid was the problem here.

There will be a much better BMW shop in Miami for everyone to have thier vehicles serviced or upgraded in reasonable time.

i promised i wouldn't post again in this thread but the reason for this post is to smooth things over. i meant no offense by my previous posts, even from the beginning, i was simply providing my perspective, what i saw, and i hope things can work out for the best. i also hope the law suit is going along smoothly, as i know the legal process can sometimes take years with appeals and what not. i was PM'd by sticky to post a reply to this thread (which is why i am) but its honestly what i believe to be true. ASR seems to be over their head in complaints, i am not part of the company so i cant say what is valid or not, but i hope everyone hurt can get some satisfaction or get resolved in some way.

Hey stupid question maybe... Any of you have extra headers and exhaust systems that you want to unload - maybe supersprint or Evosport? I'm in left field. Can't get any of my parts from the south Florida madoff guy.. ordering a clutch assembly this week - great... More money into the money pit.. Let me know if you all have anything you want to unload as far as exhausts. Thanks much.

I'll look around and see what I can find for you. You just need stock parts right?

Would you mind posting a breakdown as to everything you need? Full exhaust thus far?

Ok one more dumb question. So I saw the "sticky / gintani" video. So who is the FK'g sociopath out there? totally gay video by the way. So with all due respect to everyone - does this video have any truth to it? I was about to call gintani, but I don't want to call on another asr type place. What's the scoop - can anyone fill me me or us in?? Thanks. Btw if this is true about gintani I'm going to start tuning bmw's. I'm going to start making up grand ole stories and cash in like everyone else. LOL..

Thanks Sticky. I'm looking for the entire clutch assembly bolts and all. Headers - would like Evosport / supersprint, or equivalent, need entire exhaust from the headers to the bumper - would like something that sounds FK'g good. Need spark plug wires, cold air intake - I don't even have boxes... This is the short list at the moment.

Complete bunk, but what can you do? I think sociopath is a good way to put it.

Well, it is going to cost you a bit if you with Evosport / Supersprint or equivalent. You realize this but I'm just letting you know.

Yaeh, I know.. I just thought I'd see if anyone is looking to sell theirs first before I buy brand new.. Not too many people looking to sell them. I'll probably just need to bite the bullet and get them fresh. Thanks anyway...

Hey everyone, and you thought this thread was dead..!! Ha! Not! Guess again.. Yes the thread that never dies, and won't until monies and parts are returned!! How goes it? I have some good news. My M5 is back together again and running! Did you ever think that abortion of a car would ever have been resuscitated?? I drove it for the first time in over 2 years yesterday. Click here to enlarge I had a smile from ear to ear! Yet I had a disturbed pissed off mind set. Ya you guessed it. ASR... what a dirty taste in my mouth. My car was assembled and put back together (with having to purchase all the parts ASR stole) in basically a few months time. Here you go ASR you ought to be ashamed of yourself. I'm still here waiting for my money back, and now the dollar amounts grown. All those missing parts add up buddy, so does time $$$$.

        ))))))))))))( .) @:
        ( ) ( )

Still no word from ASR.. Where is our cash?? This isn't going to settle itself as you know..

I'll post a vid when I can. Hopefully I can record one tomorrow. Oh ... How could I forget. I peeled those ASR logos off my trunk lid, and gave my license plate holder to my neighbors dog. He enjoys it.. It felt so good!!! My ABS light is on so we have to figure that one out yet, but at least I drove her home and FK'd the crud out of her on my driveway for a while. Sooo yep the ABS is screwed up - module I hear is around $1500.00. More $$$$$.

        Be back soon..

Probably bringing you more joy than sitting around waiting for a never ending project, eh? Glad to hear it. Who did the work?

I'm sorry to hear... but on the bright side, if we can say there is one, is at least you are getting enjoyment from your car again. Once you get back what was taken from you, hopefully we can all move past this.

Just thanks for having the courage to share what happened.
