• Nex Gen F30 3 series may get 3 cylinder 150 horsepower turbo diesel

As BMW continues to take focus away from performance and power shifting it to MPG and efficiency, it should surprise no one that BMW is looking into even more frugal/smaller diesels. Auto Express is reporting that the next gen 3 series may feature a 1.5 liter 3 cylinder turbo diesel pushing 150 hp. This would undercut the smallest diesel now offered, the 2.0 liter 320d, by a half liter while offering similar performance and cleaner emissions. At this rate, soon BMW's will be running on single cylinder motors powered by our tears.

I think a 150 HP diesel would be a great option. I love my 335d, however I think plenty of enthusiasts enjoy the handling balance and great dynamics versus pure power. Plus, the 40+ MPG would be attractive.

Toyota can't hold BMW's jockstrap and you all know it. What was the last 10 cylinder 500 HP Toyota you can think of? Exactly

How about what was the last Toyota that you drove that didn't make you want to gouge out your own eyeballs with a spoon? Exactly.

If we are going to consider Lexus- the IS-F is in M3 territory, but the lack of a manual or manumatic in inexcusable!!

Yes, MR2 or Supra for sure, otherwise if I had to choose a Toyota- I would take a tacoma with the TRD supercharger

I think I would definitely side with you regarding the Tacoma and the TRD supercharger.

I have a JBD but I don't use it. The 335d has adequate power and I know that Ronin was not happy with something he saw in dyno testing, so I figured I would leave mine stock for now. I suspect a replacement engine is fairly expensive!
