    • Misfires continue to be an issue for the Vishnu Procede even after the V5 update

This video was sent to us anonymously. The reason for that is Shiv@Vishnu had seen the video and told the owner not to post it and the owner did not for fear of being punished, lack of support, etc. We happened to get this video which shows a V5 automatic misfiring even after the voluntary harness update and several times of cleared adaptations.

Notice the boost on the fuel gauge which drops to around or below the stock boost level yet the car still misfires. Misfires were also reported at the recent Atco rental by V5 users and other Procede users on BimmerBoost have mentioned issues with misfires as well. This issue is being brought to your attention as tremendous effort has been expended to keep it quiet on other sites. Come to your own conclusion and we hope Vishnu can resolve it.

They can change the injectors till they are blue in the face! It still won't fix the problem.
Read the thread, the problem is in the tune. But worry not Shiv and co. are on it! Better late than never I guess.

we are all aware of the common injector problems, and normally with a misfire, that is the cause. many of us, myself included have had to swap plugs coils and injectors to rid ourselves of a problem,.. BUT a problem that was there when stock or at idle, not a problem created by a high boosting tune, and only when said tune was used, not misfiring when back to stock.

If u still have a problem, email shiv he has a map for those people..................

the solution is available. its just under "testing" to ensure the solution is bulletproof.

Obviously when its tested thoroughly it will be made into a publicly known map revision.

The problem stems from crankshaft sensor differences between cars.

Somehow, I don't think you're on his Christmas list..................with the way this issue was presented, you got raped on n54tech and deservedly so.

I hear you lost marine. I just don't like the bias that is in this thread. I don't think anyone is blind to it. Lots of assumptions and twisted half truths. Sticky acts like he is publishing ground breaking material when all of us know he is just grinding his personal axe with Shiv. Sticky has no credibility when comes to Shiv' even if he speaks the truth. His bias fogs the air.

Yes, I must read the thread carefully because everyone has the credential and tuning know how to be able to post factual evidence. No one even considers the fact that there might be a hardware variance between cars.
If it is a problem with certain crankshaft sensors then it is evident why the JB does not bring this problem up as detonation controls its timing.

Hahahaha! Right, hence the comments regarding me handing people their ass right? There was rape, it was just the same as it was in this thread regarding themyst's crying and whining sparky.

What bias with Shiv? I like Shiv first of all. Shiv and I have spoken since the beginning of the forum and we have no issues. I'm sure he doesn't like an issue about his tune being up but I hope he fixes it (as many say he is working on it) and that it is resolved.

When that happens, I'll put it up on the front page and give Shiv and Vishnu fair and equal coverage of a positive resolution. That is all, why people get so bent out of shape when valid criticism of Vishnu is put up I have no clue. Maybe they have bias?

In this case changing of injectors was not going to fix his problem.
On the V5 he was misfiring, Off the V5 he wasn't(other tune?)
It don't take a "credential" and tuning know how to figure this one out.

Where in George Smooth's comment above does he mention anything in regards to injectors? The hardware variance he is relating to above, is the crankshaft position sensor. BMS don't tap into this sensor to affect timing control like the Procede does, so this could be the only difference affecting the misaligned misfires on certain individuals cars.

His comments add food for thought to this whole misfire issue and he makes a very valid statement .

In regards to "tuning know how". I fully agree with his comment that I'd rather have some form of timing control, especially at higher boost levels, and not rely entirely on the factory knock system to retard timing every time it senses detonation. Remember the OEM knock system is based on and relies on the car running "Factory Boost", which we are not.

Is it the factory system doing a good job?....well BMS's tune relies on it and it seems to work OK but with the pursuit of more HP and ever increasing boost, if things go pear shape, I don't think I'd risk running a system where timing control was not affected. I'm sure Terry knows this and hence why the PRO version will have CPS offsetting. When it's implemented and since it's still in it's infancy in regards to his tune, it would be good to see if he can control it properly without any global misfire issues.

While you're talking about asses, reading through the comments it's apparent the most valid arguments put forward only re-affirm what a great referral it is to the quality of reliable information you continually misconstrue on Bimmerboost. Well done for adding this to your reference elsewhereClick here to enlarge:

Which information was misconstrued? Video sort of speaks for itself yet the clear evidence isn't posted up anywhere else? Seems Bimmerboost presents a quality source of information you are prevented from seeing in other areas. Feel free to continue to discuss it. "Mistconstrue" would be applicable to your posts thus far as you have yet to make a valid point. Keep trying I guess?
