• Misfires continue to be an issue for the Vishnu Procede even after the V5 update

This video was sent to us anonymously. The reason for that is Shiv@Vishnu had seen the video and told the owner not to post it and the owner did not for fear of being punished, lack of support, etc. We happened to get this video which shows a V5 automatic misfiring even after the voluntary harness update and several times of cleared adaptations.

Notice the boost on the fuel gauge which drops to around or below the stock boost level yet the car still misfires. Misfires were also reported at the recent Atco rental by V5 users and other Procede users on BimmerBoost have mentioned issues with misfires as well. This issue is being brought to your attention as tremendous effort has been expended to keep it quiet on other sites. Come to your own conclusion and we hope Vishnu can resolve it.

If this where true then wouldn't other tunes see the same misfires with the same frequency as the visnu tunes?
This has been an ongoing problem with the vishnu tunes.

He went from JB3 and tryed out the PROcede V4 becasuse of all the hype/auto tuning etc, looking for more power.

Well we installed it and he has been having issues ever since. We even took the PROcede out and he went to the dealer with it, and they said everything is fine. Re-installed and the problems kept coming. He continued to mis fire in 4th gear, cleared adaptions and same thing.

My friend came back to me with some paper work sent from Shiv about doing a harness update.
So i performed the harness update and cleared adaptions and we tryed it again. Same thing, high rpm Misfire!!!

Nothing has changed this. Realli horrible if you ask me. My Friend has been getting these misfires multiple times.
I would advise people to stay away from PROcede and not waste your money until this is resolved. My friend is very frustrated! As he has wasted his money on this, as i am that Vishnu can release someting like this, and not take car of it ASAP, misfiring so high in the RPM's cant be good for the engine.

He can make a video, it happens everytime WOT in 4th.

maybe now that its no so "secret" they will put some more time into figuring out which would be beneficial to the community. But i think it will be a while, i mean he couldnt get the AWD guys to not misfire and he was right there tuning, or not tuning, however he wants to say it

I have faith that Adrian will figure it out by the time the V7 rolls around.

Just kidding, but seriously, it needs to be fixed.

lol.. yea, I agree, but then i think the extra time put into it means they have to raise those prices again Click here to enlarge

I don't get why he's upset about this video being posted. If it happened, it happened. People deserve to know what's going on.

This thread benefits PROcede owners, it may make the tune 'look' bad to some or w.e., but people cars are misfiring, i have witnessed this myself in my friends car. This thread is brining a topic of concern up to discuss and maybe this will urge Vishni to fix this before some damagers there cars.

for the 5th time, if you look at WHO posted the video on Youtube it wasn't me. The video originated from my iPhone that I sent to THREE people. Sorry if you don't read all the threads.

oh yea, i forgot, Tuners always FLY out to custom setups to just watch an off the shelf map have problems, and not try to tune it themselves, and then leave without helping figure it out..

Out of all this, I have some input of my own.

First, I think Ben (themyst), you are not stupid when it comes to any of this stuff. What does strike me as odd is why in the world would you save the video for people like LM and Terry, when you know LM looks for anything and everything to beat Shiv with?? I'm not condoning his actions or anything but you know better than to share a video like that with two of Shivs biggest competitors and expect it to remain in the background. You know how volatile things get around here.

Second, I agree with Woplax on his .02. As a business owner if I am working on an issue I would like to keep it under wraps until its resolved. No one remembers the good things but they will always remember the bad things....and people like to jump on the bandwagon and bash a product just because, even if it is determined that the issue is totally unrelated to me.

Third, Ben, no one would have known it was you in the video until you announced it to us that it was. Thats when all the drama started. You could have remained in the back ground and said nothing, and this thread prolly wouldn't have gone more than a page or two. The video was up, that's it....Shiv didn't know it was you either most likely, but who cares? What is he gonna do, stop giving you free stuff or ban you from e90post? I don't know what the big deal is. He got the video from someone, whether he knows it's from or not, and it's posted.

Fourth, Sticky, I know Ben personally and if he said Shiv never told him not to post it, he most likely didn't. If the thread was merely announcing that there are still misfire issues even with the V5, there was no need to get in there and mention beforehand that the user is trying to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. If something happens AFTER this, say he gets banned or something, then you can add it to the original post that it was a result of the video being shown. That's just how I would have done it.

I'm trying to stay neutral on this and give both sides my opinion. Ben you are over reacting about burning bridges here (unless you really are not telling me something), and Sticky I would reword it a little bit until you find out the hard facts that indeed Shiv has him on a short leash.
