    • More 700+ whp S55 engines - BimmerBoost member sA x sKy's DCT F82 BMW M4 with BMS tuning and Pure Turbos Stage 2 upgrade makes 704 wheel horsepower

Congratulations to BimmerBoost member sA x sKy who put down some eye opening numbers with his DCT F82 BMW M4. He managed to crack the 700 wheel horsepower barrier with his BMS JB4 tuned car which is upgraded with the Pure Turbos Stage 2 S55 turbochargers.

@sA x sKy has upgraded Dodson clutches which is the way to go for BMW DCT upgrades. Noting this is a DCT car is important as it is currently the highest horsepower DCT F80 M3 or F82 M4.

The 708 wheel horsepower Pure Turbos Stage 2 upgraded F82 M4 we saw a few months back has a manual transmission.

Great numbers here and further details from @sA x sKy below. We also look forward to seeing more timeslips from this car.

So two different people told me to make a new thread for this.. so I hope you don't mind Sticky

So my car was finally fixed today for a timing chain issue (second time..) and we wasted NO TIME whatsoever going to the dyno since street tuning was out of the question b/c of the weather outside. Literally we retimed the engine, put on the carbon fiber brace/strut brace on, turned on the car for 10 seconds.. and said fuck it let's go dyno.

With the help of Jesse@PURE and Terry@BMS, I did 5 runs. 640whp, 658 whp, 660 who, 679 whp, and 704 whp! Had I had time for one more run I could have taken the dyno record but I'm content with this for now. We were building boost slowly up first but because the 5th run was the final run of the day, we said fuck it and went straight to an 85 meth additive for the 704! NO CODES. NO DTM. NO LIMP. The car ran amazing those 5 runs.

      100% meth with 5 gallons of MS109

Thanks to Petrolwerks for building this awesome machine!

And thank you Jesse@PURE, Jason@TPG, Terry@BMS, Mo@ACM, and T0ny32 for all the help along the way. Seriously, this project wouldn't have been possible had it not been for the combined efforts.

Atco track rental is on Wednesday to hopefully break another record! I ran a 11.17@126 (maybe 127 I don't remember) with M/T ET Streets II. I have upgraded Driveshaft Shop axles this time so not worried about going full boost on this thing off the line. Objective is a 10.5@XXX.

This is the highest whp F8X DCT in the world as of right now, and second highest whp overall. Can't thank Jesse@PURE and Terry@BMS enough for the personal touch for this car.

Are the turbos running out of breath up top or is that a tuning issue? Still huge power out of hybrids

Isn't that kinda a trademark of S55 dyno graphs. This drop off just seems a little more pronounced.

Yes the stock turbo s55's when tuned deff nose dive in the upper rpm's but I would think the pure turbos can shift the powerband to the right significantly. Even the n54 700whp pure turbo graph posted today has a pretty flat powerband to 7K. Might be a tuning issue Its almost 100whp down from peak hp at 6500 rpm

Hey guys, so went to the track today and it was a blast, to spectate lol. I personally did not drive the car as my experience with driving a 700whp RWD car is 0. Moe@PetrolWerks, the owner of the shop who helped build my car drove my car down the strip. The best run was 10.79@133 mph which is awesome but can definitely be improved upon.

The car was starving for more fuel limiting its power even with 100% meth and MS109. It won't be a problem soon enough and hopefully the results will show sooner rather than later.

Terry will be sending me some goodies to make even more power. Jesse@PURE thinks the car has a 10.4 in her.

Overall the car ran beautifully apart from the fuel limitation. Clutch held up great, and the PURE turbos just keep on impressing.

Nicely done man. Isn't this a F82 quarter quickest/fastest record? Sounds like it's article time!

I believe so. There has to be more in it too.

Great numbers! Seems it's choking quite a bit up top.... Anything to help that will greatly improve your acceleration (if your are hooking up). Was that run in the video breaking up because of traction control or fueling issue?

It DEFINITELY has a quicker time in it! Keep us updated!

Also, this might be a stupid statement because i'm sure he knows... Make sure you are tuning on a loaded dyno with the proper vehicle weight put in with the driver.... Otherwise you will need to street tune. Ive seen unloaded dynojet tunes break up on the street because the load the engine sees and the duration of time under load per gear is higher.

I am not sure if it was partially doppler shift, but it sounded like he short shifted near the end. Maybe it was starving, and breaking up (you could hear it was not happy), and he just shifted early to protect it and finish the run. Either way, great time and it certainly appears that there is significantly more in that car once the issues are resolved. I know that this is DCT, but there has to be a way to improve the 60'. A "good" 60' time, along with fixing the fuel issues, could have you in the low 10's.

Yes it was breaking up due to not enough fuel and you're right, he shifted out of the misfire. 1.7 60' is pretty good tho no? 1.6' should be doable. Adding bigger meth nozzles soon to solve the fueling issue.

I was thinking the same thing - most of the records you see with late model BMWs have 1.7+ second 60':

        S65: 10.466 w/ 1.704
        N54: 10.81 w/ 1.849

1.7 seemed pretty darn good to me. Just goes to show how much you have left at the top end once you get the fueling sorted.

A guy in South Florida was running a 135 with stock turbos in the low 11's with 1.5 60' times regularly. He was an Auto trans with 245 DRs launching in 1st gear. We are talking apples and oranges, but the platform is capable of that time without all of the launch control and boost building technology has been developed in the past year. Ideally, 1.5 should still be possible, or better, with the improved electronics and turbo technology.

If this were a late model mustang running mid to high 10's, you would be clicking off 1.4x 60' times. Reality is that it is going to be a lot harder for us to get close to that.

I look forward to someone getting some sticky 275 DR's and going ham on the launch control and seeing what can happen with a prepped track.
