    • Over 700 wheel horsepower from N54 stock frame turbos coming shortly - Vargas Turbo Technologies pushes the OEM turbo housings to 699 whp

It is almost unbelievable what the 'tiny' stock frame turbocharger housings that BMW equipped the N54 3.0 liter direct injected inline-6 motor with are hitting these days. Just look at the size of the stock frame and it is hard to imagine capability of over 700 wheel horsepower.

But that is exactly where we are in the N54 world today. VTT (Vargas Turbocharger Technologies) came deliciously close to breaking that magical 700 wheel horsepower barrier. There is more tuning to come but it's safe to say the 700 wheel horsepower barrier will be broken shortly showing capability nobody ever imagined from the N54 turbos just a few years ago.

Hell, they do not even need a full horse to get there:

For an N54 that is a very nice looking curve as well. Who knew things would go this far?

699 lol, isn't that the $#@!ing worst? That looks a LOT like my 3586 curve.

Stingy little German Ssut didn't want to give it up on the first date, and the date got cut short. She will give it up. 700/700 stock frame graph is not too far out. We bumped midrange target up slightly, and have already made 691WTQ, with power hovering in that area

Impressive area under the curve, with linear throttle response; looks very "streetable".

        Well done.

lmao, its basically 700whp. 1whp can come from other changes that are not tuning related.

        Correct.

This exact tune/combo would probably cross the 700 barrier on the street due to larger volume of cooler air flowing across the FMIC at 6500 RPM, thus reducing IAT.

to think everyone (correct me if I am wrong) but even you at one point said this would be impossible!

congrats are in order! got any logs or anything to go with it. I mean I know you do just wondering if your gonna drop them anytime soon.

again good stuff CRAZY to think the stock housings are holding this.

Very nice, Tony. Nice and linear power and torque. Curious though about one thing ... oil temps. Took a look at the Datazap logs and see your oil temps are ~165F. Engine is barely warmed up. While this may be good for IATs, not sure if the engine is being properly lubricated.
